Damietta Port receives the first batch of cranes for the Heliopolis 1 Tahya Misr Container Terminal
The port will soon receive another 30 electric winches for the trading yards and giant dock cranes.
These cranes are considered part of the superstructure of the station to prepare it for start of operation
Egypt is about to complete the construction of the infrastructure for the multi-purpose terminal in Safaga Port at a cost of 3.6 billion pounds, with berth lengths of 1,100 meters and a depth of 17 meters.
The terminal attracted foreign investment flows... as Abu Dhabi Ports signed a concession agreement with investments of $200 million to manage, operate, maintain and re-deliver the superstructure of the multi-purpose terminal at Safaga Port
Under the agreement, the marine station will be developed on an approximate area of 810,000 square metres, and is scheduled to be ready for operation in the second quarter of 2025.
Electrical appliance exports also increased by 6.9%.
Automotive components increased by 26%.
Home appliance exports increased by 7.9%
While the electrical and electronic industries increased by 9.1%.
Finally, means of transportation achieved a jump of 118.1%.
Construction, development and reconstruction
Construction of the container terminal on Berth 100 in Dekheila Port is progressing
A berth with a length of 1,200 meters and a depth of 18 metres, with an area of 840,000 square meters and a capacity of 1.5 million equivalent containers annually, will be constructed.
The station will allow receiving giant ships 400 meters long

Egypt has established 125 desalination plants with a total capacity of 1.3 million m3/day to feed coastal cities with desalinated water, and 12 new desalination plants with a total capacity of 136 thousand m3/day are currently being implemented.
Egypt has developed a plan to cover drinking water needs until 2050 with a total capacity of 8.9 million m3/day in 11 governorates. The first five-year plan for water desalination covers the implementation of 29 renewable energy desalination plants with a capacity of 3.4 million m3/day, expandable to 5.9 million m3/day.
The Egyptian state succeeded in establishing 15 new pharmaceutical factories in the last 3 years, bringing the total number of pharmaceutical factories in Egypt to 172 factories, while 33 new cosmetics factories were established during the last 3 years, until Egypt has 120 cosmetics factories, in addition to 116 factories. For every 100 medicine boxes used in Egypt, 91 of them are produced locally in Egyptian factories, while the remaining number are imported.

EGAS succeeded in achieving 5 new gas discoveries with total reserves estimated at 1.3 trillion cubic feet of gas and 30 million barrels of oil.
The company also succeeded in putting 19 wells on production with investments of $613 million, and the drilling of 4 new wells to search for gas is being completed with a total investment of $640 million.
