Rafale is super good. It's omnirole, basically a swiss knife of fighter. Not everyone wants a plain air superiority fighter only, the next best thing is from Russia or America. Both extremely hard to work with right now. Other option from Germany/Europe and China are not good enough in other roles plus the Grippen weapon package is not on par with Rafale. Hope this clears it up.

I think the relative competition is what helps.

The Chinese jets are good enough, but it's not as Ukraine will buy those.

Also not sure being a Swiss knife is the right metaphor, they are not exactly associated with being lethal

There is a term used in the subcontinent:

Baysharram. It's literal translation is "shameless" however it has deeper connotations that are difficult to translate.



Imagine loosing several aircraft including rafales to a smaller airforce yet still strutting around like this.

A normal person would just stay quiet and humble. Keep a low profile until the heat is off...but not these guys.

It's the best multi role fighter in the world bar the fifth generation fighters of USA ..

I'm.delighted the Indian navy ordered the marine Rafales as well

Also "omnirole" Is just a marketing thing. In some regards its even worse then some other multirole fighters. For example it can't do SEAD since it lacks a anti radiation option.

Experts agree that IAF succesfully deployed at least 4 Rafales as very expensive countermeasures to draw enemy missiles away from their actual targets. Other air forces should learn from this.

You should reconsider the usage of the word threat in the above.

Because if Pakistan took down several with only 12, it stands two reason with more j10 s and more rafaels to target....
