Not aim-9L bro pakistan has had aim-9P4 since late 80s these are slightly better versions of aim-9L

With apkws f-7s would easily become a lot more valuable freeing up other aircraft from these missionss

No it wasn't, the base 9P is far inferior to the 9L, AIM 9P4 was essentially was essentially 9L seeker mounted on AIM 9J body meaning the Maneuverability isn't as good

Do we even have enough cobras for that? Afaik they are in pretty high demand both on western and eastern borders and would have a lot more important role tank hunting in open war. We would need a lot more of them.

Wouldnt mushak be better alternative?

Sending cobra's to do tank hunting roles in today's battlefield would be Sending pilots to their deaths, that's what Z-10MEs are for.

You fight a war with the wepaons you have. Grand total of a couple z-10s currently in PAAC wont do. Cobras were always designed to be kept in this role even when ah-1z purchase was made

No they weren't, what do you think PAA was trying to buy a thousand hellfires for? The Plan was to get AH-1Zs and then either expanding on that or augmenting them with T-129s thus replacing the cobra's completely.

Yes but for time being they were still meant to fulfill that role. Its been a decade since that deal was made and were still stuck on cobras. When z-10mes get inducted in numbers perhaps we might see them go to a more backline role but cobras were still meant to be frontline units for a long time simply because it wasn’t possible to fully replace them in short time. Cobras are still very capable especially with right upgrades i dont know why you think they completely outmatched when we’re up against indian armored collumns SAMs which aren’t anything special

No, we had AIM-9Ls back then, I actually touched one! Hahaha!

P version was much inferior to the L, not full aspect and much shorter range
 
the most improved version of Aim9m8/9 is in use by PAF F16, Mirage 3 R1 and F-7PG, is that statement correct?
