Dialogue will remain the only option. You can never kill all of them. You literally cannot. Life is not a videogame and there is no button you can press that will kill an entire tribal area. Baat sheet honi hi honi hay.
Even if you do a massive multi billion dollar operation right now you will have negotiations at the end.
You will also have to spend billions more in rebuilding. If you don't, the area that you flatten simply becomes the recruiting ground.
If Lahore was flattened today and sunk into abject poverty. Many people previously doing everyday jobs would resort to other means of income. Like joining a gang or becoming smugglers etc.
Fighting an insurgency in your own territory is very different from going to a conventional war. This is something that many countries fail to understand repeatedly.
As corny as it sounds, violence begets violence. It's a cycle. You have to break it or it's never ending.
As for criticism of Pakistan Army. When my light would go I would curse LESCO. When my Internet went out in the middle of an online match I'd curse PTCL.
When I'd get rear ended by someone right in front of a traffic warden and watch the warden do nothing as the guy speeds off, believe me, I'd curse him too
Whether it's right or wrong morally to curse is separate issue, so the question is, does that make one anti-Pakistani or just frustrated?
If I curse the army for doing a shit job then am I anti-Pakistani? Kya unho ne nahi ki ghaltia unho ne? Be tahasha ghalti ki hay. Ziadti bhi ki hay. Many times.
The army of Pakistan is not like others. It is both the country's military and a sort of shadow political force in the country. This is called conflict of interest and it's exactly why I'm so hardcore about army staying away from politics.
When people criticize or ridicule the army they're usually talking about that political aspect. I've seen very few people who say he hates jawaans or officers doing their duty.
Only people that said such things were from places like Bannu or Dera Ismail where they had a specific negative experience or witnessed something.
Can you just share with me PTI's negotiation talking points with TTP? I just need to know what different negotiation approach does PTI has that Army has not tried already.
And what action plan has PTI implemented.
Thats all I need to know.
