Federal cabinet gives nod to imposition of emergency in KP; summary sent to president

China is fully developed and has an autocratic government. North Korea and Iran are both better developed than Pakistan.

Lunatics like you who think the country has time and resources to waste on jhalsas and jirgas and million man marches are PRECISELY the reason why Pakistan needs autocracy.

Regarding past "attempts" at democracy that you have listed - their failures simply illustrate the point I am making.

Feel free to assign me any IQ that you deem me worthy of. It remains your subjective inference and nothing more.

What can the Pakistani equivalent be?

They should get rid of the President and replace that with President General, the COAS will take this position. No elections for this role. The military decides.

The President General is responsible for steering the nation ideologically, ensuring continuity of foreign/economic policy and act as redundancy in case of political instability.

The PM to be elected by the senate. The public can get the vote for local body leaders.

These rural communities, they know everything, who is coming and going. Don't play dumb with me.
Is it the military or these civilian rural communities that are actually in charge / responsible to protect the country from illegal border crossings between Pakistan and Afghanistan? 🙄

Democracy sounds great in theory

It's only when you understand the nature of our politics and population do you understand how dangerous and manipulatable it is

All these useless idiots and their endless jirga, and marches and bullshit for the idiot masses

We need to follow China NOT the west

Already answered 👇
You have it all upside down. These Jirgas, Jalsas, Marches happen PRECISELY because the people of Pakistan are duly tired of military led autocracy in the country... 🙃

In China, local bodies and provinces are very strong. They decide their trade deals, industry, preferences and so forth.

Lastly, in Chinese society, the military is the lowest tier. Technocrats/ministers are top-tier people (after the heaven/king).
Then comes the merchant class and then the rest, including the army.

P.S. like Hindu caste system, but different for reasons and hierarchy.

China is one nation and one country, Pakistan is compose of four major culture and they come together for the creation of Pakistan. China one nation exist for thousands of years and they have good or bad systems always exist.

Good luck replicating THAT in Pakistan with an untouchable (heavenly) military elite class in the country. @Master Chief 🙄

first of all, timing matters.
Then, why was an emergency imposed? to fight terrorism! not for construction and demolishing 'illegal' buildings.
Or are they exactly doing what they meant to? like occupying prime properties themselves?
Instead of asking what you have done in your post, you should have asked the following questions:
1. Why did PTI government in KPK fail in taking action against terrorists?
2. Why it failed in ending massive corruption in the province it's ruling for last 13 years?
3. Why it failed in stopping the production and trade of drugs/narcos in the province.
4. Why PTI's provincial government failed in expelling Afghan nationals/refugees from its province.

The PTI CM and provincial ministers allegedly had a nexus with smugglers and terrorists. The corruption money also has a deep connection with terrorists in Pakistan/Afghanistan and so do the Afghan refugees. PTI provincial government miserably failed on all these accounts.

I know nothing about this video of the masjid (and I am sure the same is true for you too) or even if this video is fake or unrelated. But even if true, this video doesn't prove that military is grabbing 'prime locations'.

If you are claiming that military has done so, then, rather than farting in the thin air, you need to provide credible evidence.

Is it PTI or military's job to fight against the terrorists — especially if they arrive from another country (Afghanistan) illegally? 🙄

2. Why it failed in ending massive corruption in the province it's ruling for last 13 years?
I have never heard you questioning PPP's corruption like this which has been ruling Sindh continuously since 2008 (18 years so far)...

3. Why it failed in stopping the production and trade of drugs/narcos in the province.
These narcotics come from across the border. Who is in charge of protecting the country's external borders? Is it PTI? 🤔

4. Why PTI's provincial government failed in expelling Afghan nationals/refugees from its province.
This is actually job of the federal govt to deal with Afghan refugees in Pakistan as it is related to a foreign country (Afghanistan) which falls under Islamabad's domain — NOT Peshawar's. 🤦‍♂️

You're right. The debate on whether representative democracy is right or wrong is already closed. We know what works best for our country in its current position.

It is high time we take this concept of a genuinely functional autocracy seriously. Even Hindustan is a declared variant of this most simple form of governance, probably because their lunatic population needs it even more than we do. Yet the simpletons here will still hold their purple fingers up for the BBC Urdu publicity shot, thinking they have achieved something in life.

Even the less rogue elements of PTI can actually be welcomed back into such a system quite easily. The hybrid government setup is already one foot planted firmly through the escape door of the asylum.

All democracies are mature. India is brutal state against insurgencies despite being a democracy. Meanwhile Pakistan allow terrorist infested province KPK to be ruled by pro terrorists party for 13 years and then wonder why terrorism isn't ending.

Become a hard state. Democracy isn't a solution to KPK/Balochistan insurgency, re education camps are. First you need to get rid of terrorist mindset and then follow with democracy.
