I didnt once mention either the PTI government or the army control in bannu and onwards in waziristan. Two topics completely different from repatriation of afghan nationals.
The Afghan nationals when pushed are known to disperse and go to tribal areas for hiding or lesser scrutiny than major cities. This should not come as a surprise to anyone who has been there or knows people in those areas.

I don't disagree that the people's mandate has to be respected and our history has seen this mandate being disregarded, but I also realize that things are never simply black or white. Perhaps that is the pragmatist in me speaking vs. the idealist.

You may be right on that.
Per this tribal leader, they are able to spot the Afghans easily unlike the people of Karachi. But he also says that Afghans are willing to pay huge sums of money--and even change their paternity-- to claim the Pakistani National ID card.

This video is well worth anyway though Imran supporters may not like this video. I have more respect for the patriotic tribal people after watching this video.

PTI is a political party though and totally acceptable for a political party to talk to other people and make coalitions and all that stuff. Locally that is.

Because this is how politics is done. You can never go at it alone. Coalition apne hargiz banani hay. Even if we gave PTI 183 seats back they have to work with others.

This is exactly why I prefer politics, even in nonfunctional system like Pakistan. No one person can do unlimited Badmaashi. There is always someone right on their tail.

As for making Iran Abu, last I checked it was Munir going there everyday not Imran.

You sound like as if this is something "new". Pakistanis who live abroad have always been well aware of how Afghans sought asylum or citizenship here in the West on Pakistani ID cards / passports. Is PTI responsible for it too?

bribing law enforcement ppl was before the latest push, not that it doesn't happen now but pricier and difficult. Waziristan agencies, Bajaur, etc are more or less off-bound to the police.
I have colleagues from Bannu, karak and friends are posted in bannu and tank. Lets not go into the details of how much or what % the local awam trust the police or the fauj even.
