Investigators have now confirmed the same operational pattern was identified during the 2025 New York City municipal elections. The campaign targeted progressive Democrat Zohran Mamdani, who won his seat despite facing waves of fabricated allegations and inauthentic social media activity.
Similar traces linked the New York operation to BlackCore infrastructure, raising concerns of a global pattern of interference in races involving progressive or pro-Palestine candidates.
