Gaza-Israel Conflict | 2023-2024

So both sides are in a face off

If Israel invades then Hezbollah ups the ante,

If Israel hits Lebanese infrastructure then Hezbollah hits Israeli infrastructure

Both sides thus far are to some extent not trying to target civilians openly like Israel did in Gaza

Now Hezbollah may take pain, but this in its own won't destroy it and Israel gets stuck with constant resistance groups being built around it

At the same time trying to stop multiple nations and organizations demanding a free Palestinian state
Even the GCC Arabs and Egypt and Jordan in the aftermath will say, ok now let's create a Palestinian state AS PER INTERNATIONAL LAW and U.N resolutions

In the long term it's demographics destroying Israel and not anything else

Israel is doing what it is doing, be it 300 airstrikes in the last hour, message to civilians to leave, pagers blown, attack in Beirut to take out Hezbollah commanders which killed 50 civilians as well. They have shown they will not back down, the ball is in Hezbollah's court and I don't think they would want to up the ante or climb the escalation ladder and force Israel to bomb Beirut.

Also GCC, OIC, small countries, protest in Universities etc, Israel has shown they don't care a damn about them, it's only US and maybe EU who can rein-in them but either they have a go-ahead from them or maybe they control US deep state somehow.

Israel has bombed Beirut multiple times

When you are the resistance it's always going to be tough, what kind of resistance gives up seeking independence because the occupier is trying to kill you?

GCC or OIC hasn't really protested and even that is a double edged sword for Israel,

Israel is small or faces a long term demographic threat, just like Lebanons Christian population is now 33% when it used to be 60% after WW2
Everyone will push for a Palestinian state even the west or U.S can't really deny it, because the occupation is the cause of constant conflict

Israel in the meantime has lost thousands of its own citizens or forces, had major economic impact.
It's north and south has seen a emptying of citizens
Others have left the country and gone back to their original country

None of this is easy, and the point of resistance is to gradually wear Israel down through harassment and let the population demographics do the rest

Hezbollah should've been responding to this massive aerial assault and leveling "Israeli" air bases. What is this restraint they are on when Southern Lebanon is leveled? Something is odd about their response to the hell unleashed on them and the civilian population in Southern Lebanon.

The current trajectory they're on is only beneficial to the "Israelis". The mass murdering, child-killers will continue the scotched-earth campaign from the air without risking their exhausted ground forces to a ground war. And since America is footing the bill, they will continue bombing every meter and every block in Southern Lebanon.

"Violent air strikes target a site between Ainatha and Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon."

Because hebollah doesn't have the capacity to fight a state military. It's a local militia.

Yes, there are economic and other costs of a war but I don't think they matter much during the war. Israel's stated war goals are de-arming Gaza and defanging Hezbollah, this can be done by the war being dragged well in to 2025 or by a ceasefire brokered by West/Arabs. Israel's demographic challenges, strategic depth etc don't really effect the said war, as they are not even fighting a conventional war with a country.

Hezbollah needs to withdraw from this war now !

Their comms is compromise and the leadership has been taken out

Live to fight another day and another to time

Supply depos are gone and the ammunition is low

Hezbollah must agree to a ceasefire

And rebuild and regroup otherwise they will be gone

I know this is not what people want to hear but it is what it is unfortunately

Losing a dozen commanders in a group that has over 100,000 members doesn't mean its leadership is gone. Those commanders can be replaced.

If they withdraw, what is the point of being a resistance movement when your entire section of Lebanon is facing an scotched-earth campaign?

Perhaps their leadership has been told to stand down.

Hezbollah has 100,000 members and 100s of 1000s of rockets and missiles. When you're in a conflict, you fight with the weapons that you have. Hamas and PIJ with a far less force and poorly equipped put up a better fight than Hezbollah from what I can see so far.

Besides, it is not like Israel is going let them off the hook. They're just gonna keep bombing them.

It's like people go into stupid mode and dont understand the difference between a state military and a irregular force

The objective of the resistance is constant harassment whilst soaking up punishment, to put them into a position where one day they can deal a killer blow

Hezbollah may have greater options backed up by other resistance forces, but they are still a irregular movement without a air force, navy, air defences etc

The crux is that Iran and other major states can keep Israel in constant conflict and a state of madness

All the while population, demographics, changing narrative and support across the world, International law and bodes slowly take their toll

For sure, it is a War of Attrition. What else can the Resistance do?? The Algerians, the Afghans vs the Soviets, the Afghans vs NATO, the Vietnamese vs the Americans. They all were long wars where the weaker parties/natives paid very heavy price to gain their sovereignty. Why should it be different for the Palestinians/Arabs, as painful as it is to even say? Who is really helping them other than Iran through proxies? Where is Russia? Where is China? In contrast, Israel has America and its rich, powerful allies firmly behind Israel.

100,000 members can do thing if they don’t have leadership

Israel has taken out over 500 commanders of the field

Hezbollah comms is Compromised

Israeli genocidal terrorism and mass murder of civilians is being deployed in Lebanon right now, and no condemnation of any kind by the international community or regional community.
...
...
As happened in the south.

The Israeli army warns the residents of the Lebanese Bekaa to stay away from homes in preparation for a wave of bombing on the Bekaa.

Israel declares war by bombing
