Sometimes a nation must go through struggles, difficulty and hardship to value what is important for them. If a nation can learn from the struggles and look to make a better future it can rise and change its circumstances.

Pak has huge potential, Goldman Sachs even believes so, they project Pak GDP to be 6th in the world by 2075. For that to become a reality the next generation need to make a fundamental shift from what is now.

LoL Its not gonna happen in decades, but there is no need of it too.

Its not our fault that in south Asia, We are surrounded by small countries that too with very low purchasing power, and without any export worthy COMMODITIES.

We cant wish our neighborhood away. So lets make the best of what we have. Nepal has electricity, Bangladesh has textiles and transit to NE states.. Pakistan does not have much to export to us but can import from us directly rather than through ME and importing from costlier locations .. Increasing regional trade is a win-win for all parties concerned.

I have always noticed one thing about Pakistanis. Just because they can speak decent English because they live in the west, they suddenly start considering them experts in all field; from nuclear physics to economics. a construction worker from birmingham may consider himself smarter than all major economists or rating agencies or global financial institutions and give outrightly absurd statements like, "Pakistan's grey economy is much larger than reported economy, so we are doing very well financially" or "people are rich govt is poor".

The level of ignorance I see on these forums baffles me.

The statement "People are rich but the government is poor" is inherently contradictory—an oxymoron.

it looks money is hand of one percent of the population .

It's a possibility but the middle class is increasing and their financial clout is increasing. Our biggest issue is people not paying their share of income-taxes. We have only 5.3m tax payers who are mainly the salaried class. Our workforce is nearly 75m which includes traders, doctors, skilled workers, real estate (largest group of tax evaders), construction, food industry etc. Due to this the government levies indirect taxes on the people.

The lower-Middle class is almost at point of break , actually that point has already been exceeded

No one has money to buy the so called 10 Crore or 16 Crore homes for Sale


No one working in Midldle east has that kind of cash
No one in Americas/Europe has that kind of dough (except few)

Also logically why would anyone want to buy Property in Pakistan ? When the Police is good as Theives or Kidnappers?

Health care Hospitals have NOC cancelled (as was done with Cancer Hospital)

What is Big Allure of Buying Property in Pakistan?

• NO water
• Sewage lines leak
• Police itself is Gulu Butt or Thieves
• Property Cases never end?
• Milawat in Milk and Spices

Now a days you can find best Restaurants also in USA/Canda/UK/Europe

• The food in Pakistan is not even a valid case as all food creation is already replicated in oversea food now
• May be in past people said well Pakistan only you can find Ultimate version of food, buy now better quality is made overseas

I think the biggest political and economic mistake Pakistan made was not exploiting the behemoth Indian market of one billion people who have close almost identical ties to Pakistanis
The shear volume of clothes household goods food raw materials that Pakistan could have should have exported to India would have your gdp.sitting at 700 :billion dollar today IE double today's value.

The entire world europe and mideast is falling over modi ji to enhance trade
These countries are not stupid they don't love India or Indians
They see trade
