Green light for Eurofighter from Germany for the Turkish Air Force

Well, I have written LLM and other Machine Learning Source code, as well as all type of coding from Pascal to XML (Whatever UNSW taught) and I also work as a L3 Communication codex installer with ASC, so with respect,

Sorry, this is all high level stuff. I have written in both high level and low level languages, in and below assembly language. The virtual view provided to high level software is worlds away from the actual hardware.

this is not some low-level coding experience we are talking about.

This is precisely low level stuff I am talking about; stuff you cannot do at high level because the operating system prevents/protects you. You don't have to take my word; If you talk to someone who has written firmware or device drivers, as I have, they will tell you the kind of things you can do at that level.

Once again, memory it just an array of bits. How and which parts of memory are visible is controlled by software (and, possibly, hardware). It is possible to hide code in parts of the memory chip that the operating system does not initially know about but which can be unlocked by the proper combination of software and/or hardware signals. The hidden code would not be a simple contiguous piece of code that can be seen by random inspection of the memory chip; it would be scattered about in seemingly random instructions which can be assembled at run time into a sequential set of instructions.

And all of this is assuming that Turkey gets access to the real source code and not some curated version without the virus. The code is usually written in a high level language like Ada and compiled into assembly code. Some code is directly written in assembly language for performance reasons. A 10 million line Ada program will compile into 100 million lines of assembly or more. If you combine all the avionics, the total will approach half a billion lines of assembly code. Do you think Turkey will go through half a billion lines of assembly code? every time there is a software upgrade from the US, like in six months?

Even if Turkey does that, it is useless and wasted effort because the real virus would be hidden in parts of the memory chip that look like junk unused memory and are nowhere to be found in the official source code.

Guys, I have utmost respect for experts and we enjoyed reading your exchange. Please return back to the topic of this thread and don't start a fire.

Sorry, I read your post after replying.
I will let the thread return to the topic, thanks.

As I said, unless NATO have it in cloud somewhere, you can't have a platform without a source code to work, it will be encrypted somewhere in the platform

And as I mentioned before, compartmentalising the data and spoofing it don't usually work, you are assuming a system cannot be hacked since these protocols (which are very basic data security) are in place, reality is, these has been done a thousand time daily on a commercial level, you can trace it back to its functionality and then isolate the code itself, that has been done by commercial data miner with encrypted program, while as mentioned many time, Military program probably on another level of data security but you are talking about technological advance state such as China and Russia and not just going to be Turkey if they are going to start looking into this. So, this is not as impossible as you think. You can't just hide some code in millions of codes and encrypted it and assume it's never going to be found.

But again, as I said, all this is moot, if NATO is on Greece side even if they attack first while both Turkey and Greece are still in NATO, then having a kill switch in any of those platforms, no matter how likely or unlikely it can be, is probably the bottom of Turkey concern.

Green light for Eurofighter from Germany

Germany had previously obstructed the acquisition of Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets for the Turkish Air Force, has now allowed the commencement of technical discussions. A technical delegation from the UK, Italy, Spain, and Germany has arrived in Turkiye. The talks are expected to last for three weeks.

The obstacle posed by Germany regarding Turkey's request to procure 24 Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets, produced in consortium with four European countries, is being removed. It has been learned that the German government has approved the start of technical discussions regarding the sale of Eurofighter Typhoon.

24 FIGHTER JETS TO BE ACQUIRED IN THE FIRST PHASE

According to information reported by NTV, if Germany gives final approval for the sale after the technical discussions, Turkiye will acquire 24 Eurofighter fighter jets as soon as possible in the first phase. In later stages of the process, this number will be completed to 40.

With the procurement of Eurofighter fighter jets, the Turkish Air Force will have aircraft equipped with AESA radar for the first time. Experts emphasize that Eurofighter will be the most suitable solution during the interim period until the entry of the national fighter jet KAAN and the F-16 Block 70 fighter jets into the inventory.
Wow, that's great. We Pakistanis are happy for Turkey.

This is not about cloud, this is not about encryption.

Give the transcript of this thread to someone who knows how computer hardware works at the lowest level and they will tell you what I am talking about.

I promised the mods I would not continue this discussion, so I will back off and not respond further.

The rush doesn't make sense to me.
The Rush is the issue, if there wasn't a rush, they would wait 5 year until the KAAN was ready

Turkish Air Force urgently needs new Fighter Jets

If Turkiye gets 12 Eurofighters from Qatar in 2026 , It enables the Turkish Air Force to establish balance of power in the region

if 24 Eurofighters until 2030 , then go and buy more 80 GE F-110 turbofan Engines from USA to produce 40 KAAN Fighter Jets until 2030

even with GE F-110 Engine KAAN will be superior to F-15EX , F-16V , Rafale , Eurofighter , SU-35

Really?? Finally and if true I cannot wait for a Typhoon in TAF colors

Nice photoshop but We will see this happen soon in TURAF colors

Eurofighter will contribute to the tremendous technological development of the Turkish Air Force

-- 40 Eurofighters with 200 km METEOR air to air Missile
-- 119 F-16V with 160 km AIM-120C8 air to air Missile
-- 150 OZGUR modernized F-16 Block70 with 200 km GOKHAN air to air Missile
-- KAAN 5th gen Fighter Jets
-- KIZILELMA and ANKA-4 unmanned stealth Fightrer Jets
-- ANKA-3 flying wing stealth UCAV
-- AKINCI strategic strike UCAV
-- 4 Boeing E-7T AEWCs
-- 4 HAVASOJ stand off jammer Aircraft
-- REDET-II mobile Radar Electronic Warfare System
-- HISAR-O , GOKDEMIR , SIPER and S400 Air Defense Systems

The Typhoon coupled with the ‘Meteor’ is truly a deadly combination on its own. Great aircraft.
I've read this is second hand T1 aircraft.
Not seen Meteor was integrated on this first tranche bird (because old avionic).

24 at the beginning. Maybe 40 at the end.
Meteor ? not sure (see my previous post).

Not from The UK ( T1 ) but 12 Eurofighter T3s from Qatar

Qatari Eurofighters have CAPTOR-E AESA Radar to fire METEOR air to air Missile

Everybody is talking about Greece

but Russia and Iran also a threat to Turkiye
We haven't forgotten the treacherous attack on Turkish Forces in Idlib/Syria by Russia,Iran,ASSAD Regime

We have seen how Russia used SU-35s against the Turkish Air Force during Turkish military operations in Syria

Iran also gets SU-35s

Eurofighter can match with the SU-35 both dogfight and BVR combat

Turkiye is a NATO member and Turkiye protects NATO's southern flank
The US and Germany must definitely support these two countries technologically

Poland and Turkiye are two powers that will stand against Russia in a possible war

USA-German arms embargoes pushing Turkiye towards Russia

If the USA had sold the PATRIOT air defense system, Türkiye would not have bought the S400 from Russia

Dude, you are talking the cloud thing too seriously (It's a joke in case you have not realise it)

And what I am talking about is every encryption is open to be breaking, this is not a CS thing, this is just about information security, this is an old advice from my old mentor when I was at Defence Intelligence College, if you have to assume, you will have to assume the worse, you can't assume everything is unbreakable. By the way, this is how Taliban knows about the Robert Ridge incident.Give the transcript of this thread to someone who knows how computer hardware works at the lowest level and they will tell you what I am talking about.

In fact, I decided to go back to UNSW and ask my old Computer Science Software Engineering lecturer about the possibility of a kill switch being reality and can you actually hide codes after their final (So somewhere in November) and probably will make a Youtube video afterward.

I am actually in the process of making a military science Youtube series, this is good topic to have some serious discussion with some serious academic.

Just hope that I can still use my old Student ID card lol

By the way, this is an aviation programmer think about kill switch with USAF Jet

Are you sure ?
Qatar is not happy with their birds? Do they intend to place another order for a replacement?

This is the claim of some sources, there is no official statement yet

Qatar is a close ally to Turkiye and Turkiye can buy 12 Eurofighters from Qatar within 1 year for urgent need

Qatar bought modern Fighter Jets from USA , France and Europe
-- 36 F-15QA
-- 36 RAFALE
-- 24 Eurofighter

A Country like tiny Qatar doesnt need more Fighter Jets while there are Turkish military base in Qatar to host 12 modernized Turkish F-16s

Qatar bought too much and needs to unload, the purchases were political.

Remember Qatar bought these things where Saudis and Emiratis put them under a blockade. And the first think Qatar did was put

An order for Rafales from France to get French Support.

An Order for F-15E Strike Eagles from the US to get US Support.

An Order for Eurofighters to shore up support from the UK, Germany, Italy, etc.

But now they realize they didn't need all those jets, the Embargo is gone and they hashed out their differences.
