Green light for Eurofighter from Germany for the Turkish Air Force

Qatar bought 24 Eurofighter Typhoon fighters and 9 HAWK trainer aircraft for $6.7 billion, meaning Turkey must pay $6 billion to Qatar if it wants to buy Qatari fighters, which is a very high price. Why is Qatar thinking of selling its fighters after these huge numbers without benefit or profits? The truth is that the Turks are also in a corner because of the difficulty of Qatar agreeing except for a large economic consideration. If Qatar agreed at all, because it is not easy to obtain fighters. Qatar sells old MIRAGE-2000 fighters for $750 million, and they were produced in 1997. The real solution for the Turks is to obtain Germany’s approval and reduce the conditions because the solutions to buy old Eurofighter fighters from Britain, Tranch 1, do not provide much. The European position has changed because Israel signed huge arms deals with America and Egypt signed deals with China for more than one fighter, and the economic crises make the Europeans use the card of selling fighters to get money. Therefore, the German condition is that European ammunition for the Typhoon only to ensure continuous ammunition sales to Turkey. The solution The other thing for the Turks is to go to the Americans to provide fighters and engines for Turkey instead of submitting to the Germans and dismantling the S-400 systems until the Americans agree to better terms. The time factor remains pressing on the Turks due to the obsolescence of the F-4 & F-16 fighter structures and the acceleration of the development of the Greek Air Force. The main projects for national weapons require very long times. The tank project was supposed to be produced in 2014, and the same thing. All submarines were delayed for 10 years, and the same thing for the KAAN fighter will require many years outside the optimistic plans. All of this requires years until contracting for new aircraft. This requires 3 years for the first fighter to enter after contracting and depositing the first payment for the deal. The West has been playing with Turkey since 2019 in order to obstruct its air force, and it is clear that their plans are captive because relying on the West for armament is considered a risk with disastrous consequences.

Qatar is a close ally to Turkiye and there are Turkish military base in Qatar
Qatar has enough Fighter Jets 36 F-15QA and 36 RAFALEs
and if needed Turkiye can deploy modernized F-16s in Qatar

If it were me, I would do it like this
better to sell 24 Eurofighters to Turkiye and to buy 24 KAAN Fighter Jets from Turkiye for future Qatari Air Force

Typhoon in terms of BVR can match F-35, maybe that is why Turkish airforce has opted for it. That is if its armed with Meteor. Its range is 3 times more than current AIM-120.

The peak 4th gen fighter currently on the market is the F-15EX. And against any 5th gen I can agree on this 90% of the time.

Let alone a Eurofighter against the F-35, the most advanced 5th gen flying today.

No, Eurofighters and any 4th gen is not suited to go BVR with F-35 let alone 'match' it.

it is foolish to try to get a 4th gen fighter for turkey, we have many of them. if the delivery is late (2030) then it goes beyond foolishness

The Rush is the issue, if there wasn't a rush, they would wait 5 year until the KAAN was ready or the light fighter/attack version of the Hurjet was ready.

There are a few things, particularly the F-4s that are reaching their service life, and the earlier F-16s, Turkey has extended and upgraded them in terms of avionics but eventually the air frames get too old. Turkey also wants to expand the size of its fleet.

So essentially a lot of asks and a small funnel to satisfy the demand. The price of the KAAN will be expensive and we don't know the production rate. Its a lot of eggs in one basket, on one hand its a huge opportunity, on the other hand there is some risk involved.

If Turkey can make a competitive fighter than expect hundreds of orders from countries like Pakistan and BD. I am sure that Turkey would be able to do it, even though it will face immense challenges with the engine.

Turkey + export orders to friendly Muslim countries should help lower unit costs.

integration with the Typhoons pirate irst sensor. A capability the super hornet does not even have.

The Super Hornet have the better one

When it comes to the Block III Super Hornets, the IRST systems will also be tied into the new networking functionality that these aircraft will also be receiving. So, while a single jet with the IRST sensor would only be able to get a bearing and azimuth to the target, Boeing has said that fused information between two aircraft will be able to provide both range and altitude, enough data to actually engage the threat reliably.

This radar will be more advanced than the apg-81 on the F35 as well. A new GAN based Aesa radar more than 50% larger than the super hornets radar

I don't think so, it will be like the AN/APG-79 that is already available on the Super Hornet Block II, AESA with Electronic Attack (EA) capability.

The scaled down version, the APG-79v(4) will also use GaN technology. So I see no problem if the USN decided to upgrade the APG-79 (v) with GaN technology.

Also the APG-81 will be replaced by the APG-85 on the TR3 variant which Greece will be having as well. The APG-85 is GaN based AESA radar, so expect the gap wo be widened as well. The US is world leading in radar technology.

The LOA now makes it very clear that new-build jets are involved. This makes much more sense from a capabilities point of view — early-production F-35s are of offer less combat capability and are harder to sustain. Although it will take longer for the jets to arrive, they will come in the latest Block 4

You are mixing various different things that doesn't necessarily follow from one another.

In 2022, Qatar received Typhoon fighter jets. How long has it been since then? Are they going to resell them? Are they sure it's Qatar's Typhoon fighter jets for sale

This would be a perfect interim solution , If Turkiye gets 12-24 Eurofighters from Qatar within 1 -2 years

But if deliveries are made until 2030 with a delaying tactics, it will not be of much use

4 Turkish stealth platforms will be delivered to the Turkish Air Force until 2030 to rule the sky in the region

Nobody can match with this 6th gen war concept in the region

RAFALE , F-15 , F-16V , MIG-29M2 will be easy targets against Turkish 6th gen war concept

and F-35 alone can not match with it too

Turkish 6th gen war concept
multi-layered distributed team of diverse manned Fighter Jets working in concert with unmanned types
KAAN , KIZILELMA , ANKA-3 and ANKA-4

1 F-35 vs 1 KAAN + 2 ANKA-4s .. also KIZILELMA is on the other side too
With AI supported 14 GOKHAN ramjet powered long range air to air missiles are fired at the enemy Fighter Jets and communicate with each other to decide who will attack which enemy

also great EW capabilities with 4 HAVASOJ stand off jammer Aircraft

also 270 F-16 Block70 with APG-83 and MURAD AESA Radars to fire 160 km AIM-120C8 and 200 km GOKHAN air to air Missiles

Nobody can match with this 6th gen war concept in the region

It is impossible for Qatar to sell its planes. There is no official statement on this.

I agree. We should upgrade our F16s with the ÖZGÜR modernization and We should buy 100 f110 engines from the USA for KAAN. There is no need to spend billions of dollars on a fourth generation aircraft.

TURAF will get 270 F-16 Block70 standard Fighter Jets but until 2030
if USA does not cause any problems

And Problem is USA
Will the USA sell 100 GE-F110 engines to Turkiye ? not sure

Turkiye can produce 50 KAAN Fighter Jets with GE F-110 Engines until 2030

even with GE F-110 Engine KAAN will be superior to F-15EX , F-16V , RAFALE , Eurofighter , SU-35

Also KIZILELMA , ANKA-3 , ANKA-4 will help the KAAN for the 6th gen war concept

until 2030 all subsystems will be ready
Gan based AESA Radar with 2.000+ T/R modules
EOTS and IRTS
FEWS next gen EW suite
200 km GOKHAN ramjet powered air to air Missile

The key issue here is whether the US will sell more GE F-110 engines to Turkiye or not.

Celebrating 50 years of service in Türkiye

Alliances do not mean giving away a free plane, nor do they mean giving away a plane that you cannot get a replacement for.

Countries such as the Emirates and Qatar use their military capabilities not only to protect their national security, but as a tool to achieve their interests. For example, Qatar may send Qatari fighters to support a ruling regime for a period of time, then restore them in exchange for large financial interests.

Indeed, billions have been pumped into Turkish industry and military industries, so nothing is free.

The point that you ignored is the price of the plane. Is Turkey ready to pay $250 million for a plane that it can get at a lower price than Germany?

You are ignoring more important points: Is there any Qatari offer? Of course not. Is there a Qatari desire or even European approval of such ideas that you are proposing?

Let's assume that Qatar agreed. Will Europe allow the integration of Turkish or American ammunition into the plane?

These matters are under discussion, and do not forget the interests of a country such as Greece. Europe takes them into account.

Things are not as naive as you imagine. You imagine that the fighters There are no supermarkets, but international agreements and conditions. You do not buy a box of orange and tell Qatar to give me this box and buy another box. No one manipulates or passes deals without the approval of the original manufacturer of the fighters, because simply when contracting, there are conditions for relinquishing the fighters, the condition of the original manufacturer’s approvals and even the conditions for integrating ammunition.

We must speak realistically. First, the KAAN aircraft has no evidence that it will be capable of production until 2035. How can Qatar trust the delivery of its aircraft and replace it with KAAN aircraft? Apart from the advertising and specifications, there is no assurance of quality.

To give another example, the Koreans in the KF-21 aircraft, their success in developing the aircraft is that it is a fourth-generation fighter and that they used European suppliers and American companies with Korean companies for development, not a Korean individual match or purely Korean technology. Therefore, there was an acceleration in its production and contracting.

The Turks claim that the development of all components is self-developed, and this in itself represents a danger. Besides, I am not a Turk. They get GE F-404 engines even for the Herjet trainer aircraft and everything is still under negotiation. This simply means that no country can risk it.

Cooperation with the Turks in the military industry depends on what they actually reach in technology on their own and what they actually possess, not in the future.

Finally, there is perhaps bad news that there are negotiations for one of the countries in an advanced stage to obtain the Eurofighter Typhoon fighters and they may be completed quickly. This means that the Turks will wait a longer period to obtain the fighters in the event that the Germans agree.
Good luck to the Turks in their efforts to develop their air force

Turkiye is not Egypt who gets military aid from USA for Israeli interests

Turkiye has the biggest GDP ( $1.4 triilion ) in the Middle East
Turkiye doesnt need a free Plane including 575 new Planes for $100 billion to the Turkish Airlines

Turkiye will pay more than $25 billion to buy F-16V and Eurofighter
If Turkiye gets Eurofighters from Qatar , they will also be paid

The problem here is not money, the problem is politics.
Turkiye planned to spend $40 billion to buy and operate 100 F-35 Fighter Jets

but when small countries in the region like Israel and Greece realized that they could not match with this upcoming huge Turkish power, USA blocked the sale of 100 F-35s to Turkiye , using S400 as an excuse.

Turkiye saved Qatar from S.Arabia , Bahreyn , Egypt , The UAE alliance
attack on Qatar that means attack on Turkiye .... there are a Turkish military Base in Qatar

and Qatar bought Fighter Jets from USA , France and The UK for political support against S.Arabia , Bahreyn , The UAE

Qatar send 36 Fighter Jets to Turkiye
Under the agreement, Qatar is permitted to deploy 36 Aircraft of various types to locations designated by the Turkish Armed Forces

Also the Turkish-Qatari Joint Fleet was established for the two countries' Fighter Jets to conduct joint operations

Turkish F-16s conduct joint flights with Qatari Rafale, Eurofighter and F-15 Fighter Jets in Qatar

Turkiye deployed 6 F-16 Fighter Jets in Qatar

Germany gave green light for Eurofighters to the Turkish Air Force

A technical delegation from the UK, Italy, Spain, and Germany has arrived in Turkiye. The talks are expected to last for 3 weeks.

including Turkish Missiles to be used on Eurofighter

Go and buy monkey model weapons from USA and France for the Egyptian Air Force

F-16s without AIM-120 Missile
Rafales without METEOR Missile

Poland bought F-50 Jets from S.Korean and they found their trouble

Poland's purchase of 48 FA-50 jets from South Korea faces delays and complications, especially with the FA-50PL version.
The issues center around equipping these jets with weapons and advanced avionics, including potential challenges in securing U.S. approval for integrating specific armaments like AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles

Countries like S.Korea produce only platforms with American-Israeli-european Engine , Radar , avionics , electronics and weapons

Turkish Defense Industry has enough technology to make the Turkish Air Force one of top technology Air Forces in the World

Other Countries only can dream about it in the region

KAAN , KIZILELMA , ANKA-3 , ANKA-4 , HURJET , AKINCI , ALP-600G , HAVASOJ , ASOJ-234U , REDET-II , HISAR-O , GOKDEMIR , SIPER , SOM , AKBABA , GOKDOGAN , GOKHAN and many more

People still don't understand what's coming

not only Air Force but also The Navy and Army

Good luck to their weak Countries ... They will need it
