Green light for Eurofighter from Germany for the Turkish Air Force

Whereas this guy believe it’s a cake walk from building a helicopter engine to build a super cruise turbo fan engine

Not from building a Helicopter Engine
but from building TF-6.000 / TF-10.000 next gen turbofan Engines

There are two companies in the world that can process aircraft engine turbine blades with the additive manufacturing Nickel Superalloy method,

one is General Electric from USA , the other is TEI from Turkiye

According to Prof Dr MAHMUT AKSIT ( CEO of TEI )

If we increase diameter of the TF-10.000 Engine by 15cm , we will achieve a thrust level of 35.000 lbf.

It is doable. If it wasn't Prof Dr MAHMUT AKSIT wouldn't say "as TEI we can do it" multiple times.

Because technically Türkiye is a semi landlocked country that needs to stay in the good books of Egypt for the access of Suez canal....

Egypt is a real maritime country that connects the continents together..... Egypt controls northern Mediterranean sea and to the east it controls red sea till Somalia coast and is blessed with Suez canal....
Turkey is a Mediterranean power. Just not an Indian Ocean power. That doesn’t make it landlocked. By this argument, India is a land lock country when in comes to eastern Mediterranean.

Are these engines in production as and runs on any planes in mass production?

How please explain bro..... Turkiye is a just a fish of a swimming pool... it's not a real maritime country bro.....

I don't think Typhoon sale will happen. In the event of war, Turkiye already has full access to Qatari assets, enough to handle Greece.

Latest News:

Germany officially began technical talks with Ankara earlier this week for the potential sale of up to 40 Eurofighter Typhoon warplanes, valued at $5.6bn. However, the source said the move was merely a bureaucratic manoeuvre to delay the sale as long as possible.

“It is like referring issues to the subcommittees you know won't make any progress,” a second source added.

“When every other member of the consortium supports a sale, you have to make a face-saving move.”

Germany seeks Turkish assurances over Eurofighter and tank sales

more Expensive than F35 , heavy maintenance , wait 5-6 years and needs to stand German friendship, no thanks . it is better to wait FOR KAAN.

KAAN probably won’t be ready for IOC till 2030-2032 and Eurofighters can be delivered as early as late 2026 or early 2027 if a deal is signed this year.

Also with KAAN there is an element of risk, especially with the engine that is not an issue with KAAN.

we got a deal with Germans about subs, the delivery delayed for a decade. they will do the same for aircrafts. they want to stop anything useful for Turkey.

Turkish Defence Journalist Ibrahim Sunnetci

"The first firing tests with the ramjet-propelled long-range air-to-air missile GÖKHAN, which is under development under the main contractor of TÜBİTAK SAGE, are expected to be carried out in 2025. However, in order to see the real performance of GÖKHAN, the MURAD AESA Nose Radar, which has a long detection range capability, must also be ready. Because the AN/APG-68 series radars in the F-16s will be insufficient in terms of performance for a missile like GÖKHAN. ASELSAN product AGRAS-200AA Active RF Seeker Head will be located on GÖKHAN, which is announced to be able to reach speeds close to Mach 5. On the other hand, the Turkish Air Force will also gain ramjet-propelled METEOR air-to-air missile capability with Eurofighter Typhoon Aircraft. Good news on the supply of Eurofighter Typoon is expected in a few days. If it is possible to supply the source code required for the integration of national missile and sensor systems (for the Tranche 3+ Block 7 version, which is also included in the QEAF inventory) as desired, we will be able to see GÖKHAN on the Eurofighter typhoon."

The peak 4th gen fighter currently on the market is the F-15EX. And against any 5th gen I can agree on this 90% of the time.

Let alone a Eurofighter against the F-35, the most advanced 5th gen flying today.

No, Eurofighters and any 4th gen is not suited to go BVR with F-35 let alone 'match' it.

As already said :
according to Lockeed Martin itself, when they produced F22, 5th gen is :
- affordable
- At least agile as a F16 A
- Fitted with sensor fusion
- Supercruising able
- Stealth.

F35 is short on supercruise, and on agility. It has a 3/5 ratio.
Eurofighter and Rafale have a 4/5 ratio...

5th gen is only a marketing argument.

The sole 5th gen aircraft is, so far and according to own LM rule, F22.

Aero show prototyps.
The same level as EAP or Rafale A in 1986 : flying test beds.

All are yearS away of beeing operationnal. Nice full scale mock up with no weapon system.
It takes 4 years to built a jet frame, 10+ years for an engine and at least 10-15 years for a complete and mature weapon system.
The easier is made. Good luck for the rest.

Better than nothing
Egypt and Greece can not produce even a wheel

and where is French one ? in 2050 ?

No FCAS before 2050, says Dassault CEO
