Your story is as believable as me claiming to be the President of the United States. $400k/year software engineer on H1B in Microsoft. Lol! To make $400k he must at least be partner level holding stock options. Someone who made 400k a year for let's assume 3 years, can apply for EB5 just like that.

Funniest Bullshit is he couldn't find a job for a year, like little bro, stepped out from such a high position but he somehow cannot find a job? Find him, I'll give him half of that for a top position at Infosys.

Nah - 400K/year is Principal level at M$ (couple of rungs below Partner). This is primary research. Also check levels.fyi if in doubt

No sir, a senior engineer in Silicon Valley or Seattle at Google or Amazon or Meta or Netflix, meaning a BIG company would indeed be making that much. It's also possible post layoff he could not find a job because most companies dont pay that much and he was unwilling to compromise, maybe due to lifestyle. I find it a believable story.

Good point. If you are laid off, you should be willing to take a hit on your wages and lifestyle to keep yourselves employed and employable.

This principle is applicable to white American and European natives as well, no? They should be willing to accept lower wages at par with Indian immigrants or even Indian IT workers at Bangalore elsewhere, so that they can find employed. Needless to say, take a hit on their lifestyle too- drive an Alto instead of a Hummer for eg

This is the crux, there are many many Americans who would quite like the idea of a 200k salary as exploitation


How they have managed to basically get a sympathy narrative is quite cunning


They are talking as if they are doing toilet cleaning, no they are generally doing a comfortable desk job, that's still pays a great amount, and gives them experience to further their careers


This fellow described here, who got to go to nice tennis clubs and own a nice car..... victim?
