There is an article about the PNS Hangor commissioning in a Gulf newspaper. I think the Gulfies may be re-assessing their naval capabilities and keeping an eye on Pakistan's indigenous efforts. It may be an opportunity to sell Gulfies naval ships down the road, if Pakistan can make or assemble them at home.

I can clearly see the Kilo-class design language imprinted on it.

not kilo class but Russian design influence with broader face and tear drop hump, it is one massive submarine .. a class of its own .... super high-tech and full of capabilities. none to rival in this ocean in its class. It is only short-legged for a nuclear-powered submarine. A good technology to have for Pakistan to design a nuclear powered sub based on Hangoor.
