Are you comparing with 1971?

Hope you are not saying based on it.

Otherwise, if we talk about today scenarios - situation is different. During the 1971, both countries were having conflicts based on world War 2 era ships.. and luckily Pakistan had ex-USN submarine...

Even so, karachi had own written history during the war and including ships

Everytime you post nonsense you get shcooled, every single time.....

Aww poor Raj has to deploy the 1971 card, knowing FULL WELL I am referring to 2025. In 1971, the then Vikrant was nowhere near Karachi, nor were telegrams beamed around the world declaring it to be steaming in a fit of rage towards Karachi!

You must think we were born yesterday or something.

Boy, you know I'm taking about this. Indian sources in May 2025 very deliberately informed their assets at The Telegraph that IN was on its way, to project an image of "marshalling the seas" or being able to "control Pakistan with ease" or whatever else it is that helps your qom sleep at night...

The bombastic claim by The Telegraph , Britain's leading broadsheet.

Here from the newspaper itself...

Samaan Lateef is one of yours BTW, "award winning journalist based in Mumbai". 😆

You dumb mf's actually think by barking that "Vikrant on way saar!", you have somehow taken over Karachi. Well, readers of The Telegraph may have been fooled! Remind us how many shots were fired by Vikrant, or how many bombing sorties were carried out by its Migs, or how many depth charges were released, or anything whatsoever that was actually carried out by this particular carrier group before it scarpered back to base?

The Telegraph's credibility was irreparably harmed that day, but we could have warned them of the risk just by looking at who the journo was.

Please do keep barking about 1971 though.

Claim claim and claim.... Most easy things to do in the world

It is an actual video. A real video. How ignorant are you? Cope blighting your functions?
Don't tell to me - tell to international world.. No one believes such things - called claims.. Only such claims are good for domestic audience... Since they believe blindly on such claims..

Why did vikrant turn around without a single action taken in Pakistani waters?

Just felt like wasting some naval fuel that day? Practicing some maritime restraint?

To add: INS Vikrant's deployment was apparently 7th-11th May. What did the CBG achieve in this time frame?

Simply put, there was no order to attack. The Indian Navy was ordered only to deploy during the period and returned a few days later after the ceasefire was announced.

It was very much expected that the Pakistani Navy chief would make a counter-statement after the Indian Navy chief said that the Indian Navy was only minutes away from attacking if ordered. There was little chance that the Pakistani Navy chief would remain silent in response.
Again, such claims usually have little substance and are often part of propaganda.

It says - made claim by Pakistani navy chief... Read it properly. . .

They simply stated -
Neither side has released radar tracks, satellite imagery or operational evidence capable of independently confirming its version of events, leaving the true sequence of the confrontation obscured behind competing political and military narratives.

Yeah, then explain this buddy, why your supa dupa carrier urn away. Read and weep

"Satellite imagery showed that the INS Vikrant moved towards Pakistan soon after the Pahalgam attack and remained deployed for four days in the Arabian Sea before returning to its base in Karnataka."

Ship was deployed and retured after ceasefire was announced, it is normal process- I am talking about claim made by Pakistani navy chief.

Anyway, such claims are not recognized or independently acknowledged by anyone. The media simply reports them as “Indian side claims” or “Pakistani side claims,” without any independent confirmation that the claims were actually true. As I said, these kinds of statements are often part of propaganda and are usually aimed at a domestic audience.

Anyway, I’m bored with these useless discussions. Propaganda is used everywhere to convince people specific own to support their own forces. Without solid evidence, there’s no point in debating or believing claims made by either side.

So what did the deployment achieve for India that sitting in port for 4 days would not have achieved?

We have established that no shots were fired.

Was power projected in some different way?

Was PN thwarted?

Was PAF thwarted?

Were our merchant vessels blockaded?

I want to know what justified this use of naval fuel and deployment of assets, even if Indians do not wish to ask these questions of their military, in their much vaunted open and democratic society.

Navy attack only could have happened, if it was escalated more, deployment does not mean - if you deployed than attack is necessary and must.

Even in 1999 (kargil war)and 2008, after mumbai attack, ships were deployed. .. Deployment is a standard procedure and return to base if no further escalation or ceasefire

What do you mean "no further escalation"?

Operation Sindoor was underway. The IB and the LOC were both breached by live ordnance from either side. PAF assets could have been pulled from the eastern front quite effectively by a diversionary attack from IN in the south, even some long range discharges or blockades of merchant shipping, even a bluff run could have been easily achieved and this would have forced thinner spread of PAF assets (the single biggest problem India faced during Sindoor).

What stopped any of this from happening?

You can't possibly expect me to believe that a discerning Indian citizen would not expect his military to use his tax money more effectively than you have described.

Is there another explanation that IN did not involve itself in ANY offensive, blockade, or at least diversionary actions? Why were none of the above orders given?
