What do you mean "no further escalation"?

Operation Sindoor was underway. The IB and the LOC were both breached by live ordnance from either side. PAF assets could have been pulled from the eastern front quite effectively by a diversionary attack from IN in the south, even some long range discharges or blockades of merchant shipping, even a bluff run could have been easily achieved and this would have forced thinner spread of PAF assets (the single biggest problem India faced during Sindoor).

What stopped any of this from happening?

You can't possibly expect me to believe that a discerning Indian citizen would not expect his military to use his tax money more effectively than you have described.

Is there another explanation that IN did not involve itself in ANY offensive, blockade, or at least diversionary actions? Why were none of the above orders given?
Did tank regiment got ordered to cross borders even when they deployed?

Again, deployment does not meant, you will go to attack only.

I gave you the examples, even during 1999, also indian navy ships were deployed near the Karachi... It's a standard navy doctrine of indian navy.

Attacking or not - without approval, they will never do.

Tanks did not cross the border because a variety of AT assets were waiting for them. Regiment commanders are not stupid to send their tanks into a kill zone.

I understand your point about orders. That's why I'm asking specifically, why was the order not given, in the biggest engagement between our nations since Kargil, and an engagement that had (unlike Kargil) involved a breach of the IB, for IN to act?

Were naval commanders being as sensible as the tank commanders?

I think last few times two navies met it was emabressing for you....

Yeah very embarrassing

Yeah, then explain this buddy, why your supa dupa carrier urn away. Read and weep

"Satellite imagery showed that the INS Vikrant moved towards Pakistan soon after the Pahalgam attack and remained deployed for four days in the Arabian Sea before returning to its base in Karnataka."

Sir, it doesn't really matter where the forces were deployed once a war actually breaks out. If the Navy is ordered to attack, it will carry out its mission—even knowing that the other side will respond, because they are obviously not sitting idle.

Ultimately, everything depends on the orders given, the mission objectives, and how the escalation develops. The same principle will apply in any future crisis. If tensions escalate into a war, Indian naval forces can be expected to operate around the approaches to Karachi and other Pakistani ports when that is required by the operational plan.

That is simply part of naval strategy and doctrine: positioning forces where they can create pressure, protect India's interests, and, if ordered, conduct operations.

Hi ISI, MI, PN PDF members,

This is an independent AI assisted analysis for ranking the highest value mercantile fleet India has for maximum economic damage (higher re-insurance) for indian businesses after BUM vs Sindoor round 2.

please put some Hangors to use when we get the next opportunity.

Context:
Global total-loss frequency is ~0.02–0.03% per ship-year (Allianz S&SR: 26 total losses in 2023 across ~100k+ ships). For a ~130-ship deep-sea fleet (estimated Indian-flagged ships), the accidental expectation is roughly one total loss every 30–40 years (~$5–15m/yr expected loss).

Therefore: multiple simultaneous losses statistically imply a deliberate/systemic cause — which flips the entire loss into the war-risk regime, where coverage, pricing, and state involvement behave completely differently.

We do not need a naval blockade of India - we need to hit/sink enough (min 10 ships) cargo ships to FORCE Re-insurance companies to INCREASE the cost of doing business with India -> this cause best value in terms of 'Chronic Economic Damage' (CDE) to India and significantly lowers GDP growth rate post war.

Scale anchors for the macro argument: one VLCC cargo ≈ 2m bbl ≈ ~10 hours of India's crude consumption and ~0.07% of its ~$230bn annual oil import bill. One LNG cargo ≈ 3–4 TBtu ≈ ~$50–60m ≈ 0.4% of annual LNG import volume. India's strategic reserves (~5.3 MMT ≈ 39m bbl) dwarf any single-cargo loss.

This is great, I was thinking about this doing as well. Add the financial, economical areas too. Thank you for these. The rocket force needs throw 3 missiles for ones of theirs. They have come to the conclusion that Punjab has to suffer gravely order for India overcome its limitation in South Asia. I don't want any conflict where Pakistan suffers, and India is let off with limited destruction. Crippling their whole civilization in the next conflict should be the end-game as they have already decided to do the same to Pakistan - might I add openly and confidently.

What a bizarre coping strategy this is.

Pictures of PN assets from space demonstrate what exactly?

Were they damaged? Unable to deploy? Under fire?

You've wasted naval fuel and satellite subscription fees for taking a few pictures?

Are you seriously claiming this as some achievement?

Again, why did Vikrant leave port if satellite photos of PN ships is all you wanted?

Rambling like a madman as usual.

Why, when Sindoor was at its height, was no order given to Vikrant CBG to take ANY sort of offensive or disruptive action towards Pakistani assets? Vikrant CBG was available and fully prepared in the Arabian Sea.

What was stopping the order from coming?

Were India exercising restraint?

Was the threat from PN, PAF too great in the Arabian Sea?

Had your planners not anticipated a need for naval asset usage?

Could be any of these, or all of them!

Am sure these questions are being asked in Indian fora. Seems reasonable to ask them here also.

They exactly demonstrate that they were out of the fight, either out of choice (surface fleet) or out of compulsion (sub-surface fleet).
Are you seriously claiming this as some achievement?
Not an achievement, rather shows PN doesn't believe in fighting and wants peace :)
Again, why did Vikrant leave port if satellite photos of PN ships is all you wanted?

Area domination, preventing PN's ASW fleet from getting close and so on. And eventually returning the favour if things escalated...
Was the threat from PN, PAF too great in the Arabian Sea?
It is quite evident that PN was out of fight, muh threat lmao.

Yeah just random social media posts nothing else :p

Exactly, always comes down to this, global media and sat companies supporting Pakistan's version of events

15 year old biys in their bedrooms posting on X supporting Indias.

Wonder why it is not India the Saudis and Kuwaitis are running to for protection.

Guys are a joke

What utter garbage.

Zero evidence for "out of fight" yet here you are yapping away.

Tell me then, Admiral Jellicoe sahib, why did nobody from any of the nearby IN assets choose to actually harm these "stranded" vessels? Why would you just leave them alone in the middle of a war?

Did USN leave IRGC vessels alone after snapping pretty pics of them in dock?

They're an amusing bunch tbf. Taking pictures of docked vessels is a great naval victory saar!

Different year, same retarded thinking. Comparing 2035 IAF with 2026 PAF. Thinking (nay hoping and praying!) they will suddenly progress rapidly and PAF will standstill,

After 2019 "`no saar, we will have Rafale"

2025 J-10C bitchslapped them

Now it is "no saar, will have Super Sukhoi Mini-AWACS, Raptor of the East" in 2035

God only knows what PAF will have up it's sleeve then. Idiots also obsessed with platforms, completly forgetting it was a networked system of systems that worked together to beat them,, they do not even comprehend how to match that yet, all they can now say os "But again we will have Meteor"

Major Indian strategy issue os they always prepare for the last year, after 2019 PAF knew it had to go one better then just the Erieye/F-16/AIM-120C combo, and it did.

Do not get me wrong, their platform centric obsession in the modern age is a gift that keeps giving for Pakistan.....
