In general they are not too keen on foreign workers, but their ageing populations doesn't leave them much choice.

More than anything, my impression is that they’re wary of overtly religious types, especially when it comes to Islam. They might not say it openly, but there seems to be little willingness to accommodate certain religious practices, which can make everyday life harder for ppl of certain faiths.

I agree, in a decade or so human labour will not be worth much anywhere.. true socialism will be possible
