Ladies and gentlemen,

Do consult a wise - another wise - Bangladeshi.

āφāĻŽāĻžāϰ āϝ⧇āĻŽāύāĻŋ āĻŦ⧇āĻŖā§€ āϤ⧇āĻŽāύāĻŋ āϰāĻŦ⧇, āϚ⧁āϞ āĻāĻŋāϜāĻŦā§‹ āύāĻž !

It is a beautiful song, you might do worse than look it up on YouTube and listen to it.

If I was a cynic, I might say, out of the corner of my mouth, that is because it is too embarrassing for them to come to India for treatment.
P.S. I am not a cynic, but am rapidly turning that under the hammer blows that I have been receiving from a medical practitioner known to everybody on this forum.

I know of many who have benefited from healthcare in India, including transplants, one of whom received a kidney from a young Hindu for free, since he was happy to help save a life.

@VCheng has been naughty, has he?

Cheers, Doc

I try to be naughty always, but I do not recall any offense I may have given to anyone, specially the highly respected @Joe Shearer intentionally. I apologize if I have made him feel bad about anything.

Please see the above.

I am happy for him.

His spelling and language cast doubts on what is claimed.

No, no, that was Doc being his usual barbaric Iranian self, brutalising poor SDREs.

Folks - I may be stating the obvious with the content below but this entire problem has really reared it's head this time around.

Understandably many overseas 'Pakistanis' were upset over the situation in Pakistan but the methods that they have adopted in an effort to 'correct' the damage done to their champion is resulting in a direct hit against the Pakistani state as a whole.

It is very clear that a good chunk of expat Pakistanis in the US are attempting to 'punish' the Pakistani state for the changes in the political landscape across the past year and a half. Now we are reaching the peak of it - these guys genuinely want Pakistan to suffer with sanctions. The intent was hinted over the pass while but now it is clear that they intend to follow through with it.

Case and point: Intercept article where it makes it clear that sanctions are now on the table against Pakistan due to political turmoil. Given how certain the names of certain signees to the letter - it really isn't a far fetch to think that there were requests from Pakistanis residing in the US to have this motion cast:

In summary this is how the cycle goes:

-A certain administration in a certain white house interferes in country P's foreign affairs.
-Country P follows course - introduces a change in government since that's how the game is played.
-Concerned citizens of country P living overseas get a hissy fit and start complaining to the mentioned white house to punish country P for introducing this change.
-Now these concerned citizens ramped it up a notch and are asking for sanctions.

Who loses at the end of this crazy cycle? The damage will be on the Pakistani public residing in Pakistan. It will weaken the state even further if measures like this go ahead.

So the question is why are overseas Pakistanis so insensitive to the harm that they advocating for? Can't they see the big picture?

Let me summarise this for you folks.

Overseas Pakistanis should become army lapdogs and stop complaining about the direction that the country is headed. Also, expats should double their remittances so that Noora league and generals can feast day and night. The imports of many items must be doubled...

We send money back because Pakistan is a failed state. Our relatives don't have access to decent healthcare - they have to travel long distances and pay expensive private fees.

Your former PM was treated in London for his "low platelets", two former Presidents were treated in Dubai for heart failure.

We send money back to our relatives because they don't have access to decent education and need to pay fees to third grade private schools to educate thier children. Those "third grade" schools are still better than the Pakistani state schools.

We send money to our relatives because Pakistan has a failed economy and they can't afford to pay thier own bills. There are no jobs and even those in jobs earn so little.

There is no affordable housing or access to finance for our relatives to buy homes. We send money so they afford to buy homes.

We are compelled to do this because Pakistan is a failed state.
You send money back to your relatives, that's it. Nothing else. You're doing them a favour, no one else. If Pakistan is a failed state, stop sending money, let your relatives die and stop talking about it 24/7

Regardless, faujeets will still beg diaspora

He is talking to patriotic Pakistanis, not Afghanis

I am sorry if that is the case then COAS wouldn't have to come by himself to appease expats, there is a reason Pakistani state wants expats to send remmittance, just like any other country... and as somebody above highlighted the money sent back get circulated in the economy.. so no.. the money is not just for the relatives.

Why isn't he doing this in Pakistan?

It is still just for relatives. Most of remittances come from gulf countries by labourers sending money back to family. I am an OSP too, the arrogance some of you have for sending money back is insane. If you invest something, you do it in hope of seeing it grow, not as charity. I wonder how many OSPs sent back volountary money to Pak govt during Khan govt, there is an option on FBR site for doing so. Answer is not many at all.

Our relatives don't bury that money. They spend in in the Pakistani economy. Without our remittances the Pakistani economy would default.

This article honestly isn't directed to common Pakistanis overseas who care for their kin back home.

The complaint I have is for those braindead elite upper class PTI types hovering around DC who think they have the right to punish the Pakistani state by pushing for sanctions.

We should be wary of those sorts of people. Imran Khan sat in jail because he wants an independent Pakistan and look what these people are trying to pull.
