Toyota deputy MD Swapnesh R. Maru said Toyota had already taken possession of 800+ acres, finished fencing and started land levelling. Crucially, he said a majority of Toyota's parts suppliers had also received access to their land.

He put another 400-500 acres aside for parts suppliers and estimated their investment at ₹4,000-5,000 crore over and above Toyota's ₹20,000 crore.

All the brave, outstanding people get to drive taxis and monopolise the sexy blue collar jobs, while we poor, spineless, bootlicking Indians are stuck with higher paying IT and other white collar jobs. Poor us, we even get to send the jobs back to India. What to do? Hope our situation improves.

You said this about the USA, don't get angry, just saying now Indian job opportunities in USA are seen as a national security threat to USA

DO you know, what methodology Fitch, S&P or Moody's use to calculate a country's credit rating? Have you ever questioned them on their methodology?

If not then why do you question them on their GDP growth rates?

Actually I do, their reports are transparent but also rely on available data, they can get things wrong and always revise when needed, but they are a useful external consensus opinion and I posted their upgrades a few pages back

The difference is you ONLY want positive news, the imf quote is not wholly positive but let's leave that

Our neighbours are itself a joke. Their data collection problems are result of data not being available and too political. That's why many of them believe undokumented ekonomy is in trillions. I always say the standard is different for GDDS and SDDS countries and it shows.

No one said data collection was up to scratch, hence why no one looks at one sole number as a Panacea in the region, except one country

You draw attention to it then sulk if it's discussed.


Remember India is continental sized, regional differences significant, you can fill the thread up with factory by factory announcement but that's one data point
