India Foreign Policy Thread

They can watch with all the 'disgust' they want 😂 They’ll still end up signing trade deals, giving us visas, selling us weapons, and having their companies set up shop in India. We’ll keep doing what’s best for us, just like they deal with us based on their own self interest.

It's called economic clout and massive Indian market..
Trumps an idiot he will be gone in two years
Next president will be following Putin and Macron and Keir Starmer to state visit India again guaranteed

Trump himself has already talked about a possible visit to India in 2026, and the trade deal negotiations are clearly moving ahead. The US under Trump now understands it can’t rush India the way it first tried.

Umm who though? They have been watching since the war started in 2022 and still bought the refined Russian oil from India. They were indirectly profiting the war effort of Russia lol.

I wonder why the EU is signing a trade deal with us then. It's like they know Indian interests diverge from their interests.

If the Russo-Ukrainian war ends and the sanction ends, what after that? The Russian oil won't be sanctioned then. America - Indian trade talks are already in process.

And it's not like we aren't making military deals with the Americans.

Americans loving this, 50% tarrifs and getting almost a $1 Billion for helping Indian Navy sustain it's choppers....

India spends a few billion USD every year on defence purchases from Russia alone. Funny how Pakistanis think a billion dollars to buy western gear we need is some kind of 'gotcha' 😂

And you guys keep saying we 'cheated the West of trillions', so it’s perfectly fine to give them back a few billions here and there.

10 dollars is kinda cheap though. Don't people in UAE earn more?
Oh..., another one.

To respond to your query - we do.

But we don't waste money on usless stuff.

Minimum amount is reserved for creatures like your Serial Hugger PM.

Sorry if your feelings were hurt (too).

Only some useless MOUs signed

As expected it was a Total failure for India.

Here are the key agreements signed during the summit

Several agreements were signed across various sectors, further cementing the bilateral ties between India and Russia. Key highlights include:
  • Energy cooperation: Russia reaffirmed its commitment to providing uninterrupted fuel shipments to support India's growing economy.
  • Industrial partnerships: Indian firms inked a deal with Russia’s URALCHEM to set up a urea manufacturing plant in Russia.
  • Food safety: India’s FSSAI and Russia’s consumer protection agency formalized agreements to strengthen food safety regulations.
  • Healthcare cooperation: Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed to enhance collaboration in medical research and healthcare.
  • Maritime logistics: An MoU was signed to bolster India-Russia collaboration in port and shipping operations.
  • Migration and mobility: Both countries signed agreements to streamline migration and facilitate the movement of people between India and Russia.

I think India has truly chosen the US over Russia no matter how much noise is made regarding the Russian-Indian historical ties.

Russian junk is simply not up-to-mark for a growing Indian economy. It's simple as that.

I also think Russia sees India as a cash cow rather than some sort of strategic partner.

Strategic ally Iran is attacked by Zion/US in 2025, Russia stays away.
Best friend India is beaten to pulp by Pakistan in 2025, Russia stays silent.

...tou kya Putin apni behen ka rishta laya tha Modi kay leya ?

I'm not sure Russia needed to do anything in the May conflict.
