I agree with most of what you said. The big IT companies in india use to hire hundreds of thousands each year, now instead of hiring, they are firing hundreds of thousands. Indian graduates are in despair and know that their golden goose has been stolen by AI.

Another point is that India due to high population will get very old long before they get rich. China managed to break the middle Income trap by dominating technology sector. India has no technology so they can not create large amounts of jobs for their people and their future is very dim indeed.

It plays a role but diet, pollution, poor quality of air, food, water, high level of stress of poverty etc play a greater role in my opinion.

Modi lacks vision, and so do India's so-called IT companies. Maybe that's just a trait of Indians in general. Either way, India's golden decade is over. Modi failed to build any core industry—just look at how India has been assembling mobile phones for over a decade yet still hasn't produced a single globally recognized brand. India's IT firms are essentially a modern-day slave trade; they've never created any world-class software. And let's be honest, the real purpose of those IT companies is emigration. Without China's open-source contributions, India wouldn't even have that laughable AI of theirs.
