RSS andhbhakhts in panican mode already. Someone tell them lying in census is a crime.

Yes as long as you agree with him, he will give you the best deal. Which include no more Russian oil and 0 tariff access to Indian market. But USA will keep 25% tariff because of trade deficit is huge.

Otherwise days of India containing China or being replaced as China 2.0 are over. QUAD is dead in the water after failure to contain Pakistan let alone China.
Lol. May be if it was Pakistan, the above could have been the case.

Foreign companies usually don't issue press releases when they "halt" projects in India or any other country, so I don't know where they are even getting the numbers from. It sounds quite dubious. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. The economy grew at 7.8% in the same quarter that all these projects were supposedly halted, so it certainly didn't show up in the numbers.

Going to 0 soon.

Despite such a huge fall, the economy grew at 7.8% in the previous quarter.

My Indian stocks' portfolio, focussed on the local economy, is up a lot since the GDP numbers came out. So, yes, investors do know what is going on.

Stocks are the biggest gamed numbers. Imagine HAL being more valuable than French Dassault. GDP cannot be gamed as such.

Use electricity consumption as a metric, our electricity consumption growth is at 9% a year.

Looks like Rubio and Greer (who is the lead negotiator on the India deal) are trying to undo the damage done by Navarro, who is not involved in the negotiations, but Russian oil remains an issue.

Did you not hear trumps comments yesterday on having a round two and round three of coercion on India?

Forget growth the PMI is at record levels 59.

Well if the tariffs continue let's check next quarter, and the quarter after

At least make your mind up, will India stay strong and take on these tariffs?

Dude you were the one talking about investors in the stock market.

Electricity consumption is just a metric of electric consumption. GDP measures the economic output of the entire economy.

You are an idiot. Round 2 and round 3 are for Russia , not India.

If the tariffs stay , they will have anywhere from a 0.3-0.6 percentage point annualized impact on GDP. Not a big deal for the fastest growing major economy in the world .

India obviously wants lower tariffs, but not by surrendering to all demands like Pakistan did. If a mutually beneficial deal that accomodates India's concerns is reached, India will obviously go for it.

I agree with the electricity consumption actually, that's a good point

In terms of your GDP, it is quite a significant chunk on services.

Your GDP per capita, has not grown tremendously. In fact you have tracked Brazil's around the same proportion for the last five years

I think you are smart enough to know that population growth cannot be ignored

Then there are the poverty levels, where easily over half of the population at, near or vulnerable to real poverty. The definition of poverty itself was quite humble originally.

This is a real problem for the region, all jokes aside, all jabbing and goading each other..... This is what China sees when it looks at South Asia and that is why it's trying it's best to bring about regional development, yes of course they benefit, but what's the next best option
