Indian Air Force News and Discussions ll

But there are no good news about IAF though.

Please, for his sake, lets make up some good news about IAF

BREAKING NEWS: Game changer as IAF orders 750 F-35MKI varient with full US permission for source code access to integrate DRDO designed laser gun

BREAKING NEWS: IAF pilots beat Israeli, US and British pilots in Saffron Flag 2026 exercise held at IAF base Ambala. Israelis were quoted as saying "We did not know what hit us, we did not even see the Indian pilots, just read the social media posts on how good they were and we immediately gave up"

I hope one of their Rafales crash as well

The very best and brightest pilots(this is a relative term of course), and ground crew will be operating those machines. I don't expect much in the way of operational issues on that fleet for now, until it gets wider adaptation in the "general" fleet, where more mishaps will happen.

Agree, the numbers are down, morale probably not that great amongst the two understrength Sqds, and IAF need to hold these back for any defence of important assets.

I think this also goes someway to explain the lack of anti-Pak bluster recently. Without these 30 odd planes, does IAF want to risk battle?

I wouldn’t discount their pilots. I was chatting with a veritable PAF legend who has fought 71 with 2 claims and then flown with Indian pilots in the US and GCC forces - his words are they are good fliers and excellent to work with but as I always have said so did he - their command sucks in ways laughable.
He gave me an example of both 71 and later on where the IAF outnumbered PAF in superior aircraft with every possible advantage and yet their GCI did everything possible to not let them press the attack.

So long as that is true - Pakistan will always be golden.

Old statement, and it was about the Indo-French JV. Possible to get a prototype done *if all goes right* but testing and certification will take 2035 at the minimum.

A big industrial complex now under construction, that can produce 10,000 loitering munitions, including Shahed class long range OWA drones. And capacity to produce 50x Archer-NG MALE armed combat drones per annum. At an investment of $1.4 billion. From one company alone.

NewSpace testing it's own Shahed class drone, they'll probably set up a separate line for their loitering munitions. India is arguably the largest manufacturer of such engines, if not China. So can be mass produced in unimaginable numbers :)

Disagree here, as an organisation and culterally the IAF of today is not the IAF of 1971.

BJP yes men and a reliance on propoganda and lack of accountability has seriously effected this organisation.
