There was no Tejas crash. India's Secretary of Defence has confirmed this.
It was a minor incident and damage to aircraft was moderate.

On the other hand, India's guest (Iranian frigate outside warzone) was sunk by US Navy submarine very close to the indian coast and indian navy had no idea about it.

This ship was sunk 450 miles away from nearest point on Indian coast
