Indian Army News & Discussions

The Sudarshan Chakra Corps of the Southern Command of the Indian Army conducted the Swavlamban Shakti military exercise. During the exercise, the Indian T-90S Bhishma tanks were seen wearing the anti-drone protection system called Mangal, the first time this type of protection has appeared on Russian and Ukrainian tanks. The Swavlamban Shakti exercise was conducted to enhance combat capabilities by integrating niche and emerging technologies into army units. More than 1,800 personnel, 210 armored vehicles, 50 specialized vehicles and numerous air and air assets participated in the exercise.

I kind of understand the emphasis on Turret and top armor but it seems rather ungainly and likely breachable

Not sure if the Indian office was remarking in jest or sarcastic, but often I see people use wrong words or come to wrong conclusion. Jinnah didn't save Indian army from any extinction. Decisions by Indian authorities and their response to a threat saved Indian army.

Ex: you have a bike and a car. You planned to use the bike one day to go visit a friend. However weather reports indicate heavy rains and potentially hazardous situations on the way to your destination. You decide to switch to the car. Are you going to reach your destination and tell your friend "thank God for the rain that I didn't get wet"? No, you credit yourself for switching to the car in response to a threat.

Rain = Jinnah
Bike = 150,000 strong army
Car = 600,000 strong army.
