The terrorists asked the men to recite 'Kalma' three times... All those who could not recite it were shot.

Tragic that the Indian government lied about normalcy in IOK and sent these families and officers to die in a warzone

But IWTs existence meant there were some rules established on what both sides can do. Abeyance of a treaty means they arent bound to it now, means free for all.

Let's see what Pakistan does. Alot of us are taking this too lightly. Scrapping of IWT certainly was being planned upon since some time, it further has strengthened my belief that the yesterday incident was a false flag attack by Indians to further their interests. Israeli tactics at play
My personal belief is that Pakistan will respond significantly to Indian damming and diversionary projects over the next decade- though it being through future sabotage operations or direct military action is still up for debate.
I'm certain the security services understand how deep of an existential threat and declaration of war, that this is.

The suspension of the IWT also gives Pakistan a lot more operational wiggle room, as it no longer has to tiptoe around the water threat if it's already been declared as a water war essentially

He sounds like the call center scammer who spam calls my number.
"Turrurism.....vill not go unpunished!"

He's in Bihar, I doubt anyone in the crowd can even understand him while he makes this speech to the world

We normally see such attacks in India just before the general elections. So that ruling party can garner sympathy. I am surprised to see it now as it is quite unusual time when not much is happening in India right now.

Maybe the trade war / tariffs issue to keep US on her side but it is unlikely scenario
It’s about water. They think Pakistan is internally weak, Zionist lobby in full force in the US and international law in shambles so now is the right time to strike.

Under the cover of run-of-river projects on the Chenab and Jhelum, India has already stored over 250,000 acre-feet of water, quietly gaining control over rivers meant for Pakistan under the Indus Waters Treaty. This means India can hold back water in winter, creating drought-like conditions, and release it during monsoon to worsen floods. Simply put, India now controls the tap, while Pakistan’s Mangla Dam sits at its lowest level in a decade. And regardless of all the chest-thumping, if India truly goes ahead with scrapping the treaty, the fallout for Pakistan could be far more serious than many realize.

As for Pakistan's options, we practically have a very few. Taking the issue to the UN or World Bank sounds good, but they can’t actually force India to stop... international law is just international morality, which powerful countries seldom follow. As for war, it may sound like a bold response, but it’s not something Pakistan can afford or win in its current state...

To divert some of water India need to build tunnels through mountains, 300km minimum to put that water on use. Will take decades and very very expensive.

Basically time have come to start working more storage dams. As I doubt India will even attempt to divert water through tunnels but will definitely hold some water in dry months. Technically as per IWT they can hold up to 3.6 MAF on 3 western rivers. Anything more and its act of war.

In short India can try to hold water as long as possible in dry months in dams they have build to generate electricity. To counter that Pakistan can build its own storage dams.

crossing loc is extremely costly and difficult, entering empty desert is easier, quicker and you can sell dumb Indians a win easily
Crossing the international boundary will escalate the conflict out of Indian hands and make it a proper war. It will help Pakistan more than India, since then anywhere across the border will be a legitimate target not just the heavily defended targets, where Indians would expect a counter retaliation. It is the status of the dividing line not the terrain that will determine geopolitical actions.

2- India has been builting numerous dams stopping the flow of rivers in Pakistan but the corrupt Pakistani generals have done nothing but continue with their loot and plunder.

They can build dams and hold up to 3.6MAF water on 3 western rivers as per IWT. Knowing Indians they will hold that water in dry months to use it as weapon. They can also go beyond that with more dams, thats where Pakistan start bombing them.

Pakistan can destroy all Indian dams on Punjab rivers including 3 eastern rivers. India can do it also destroy our dams in response. But no dams on rivers benefits us more.

Ongoing activity around flight radar 24 and on the ground. Even around shores. Plenty of traffic in the air. A heli near Kashmir and so on. There's an air of restlessness somehow.
