Talkative dad but shy daughter. He said it is a residential school. Are many schools like that or is this special? I think many parents would feel uneasy leaving school age children in a residential school.

Boarding schools are very common in China, especially good schools, they prepare students for quality universities.

Why can't the child stay at home and still go to good school? Don't the parents feel sad to see their only child off at a young age? Is it because both parents are working? In that case, it may be a better idea to send the child to a boarding school than find good after school care.

Can't believe it, I heard the report on Shenzhen city TV yesterday, there are actually about 100 K Indians working and living in Shenzhen now, China should kick out these Indians back to their slum country, we don't need these many people of an enemy country in China.

Actually some parents are happy to entrust their children to the school, while they can have fun and free from the burden to take care of their children.

Then why have a child in the first place.
If you yourself cant take care of your own child, who will?
It’s like putting an innocent in jail

Lol, an innocent jail? We Chinese believe children's life should always focus on studying, besides, the reason parents entrust their children to the school is they trust the school can take their children well.

Check out one "jail" you claimed.

Shenzhen high school student shows her dorm. 4 persons per dorm, two dorms share one bath room ( two toilets and two shower rooms)

My point still remains.
Chinese culture is different from the rest of the world, and for that very reason I don’t blame you.
On the opposite side of the spectrum majority of the parents won’t dump their child (especially if you have just 1).
No amount of infra, toys, facilities is gonna replace the traditional ways of raising a child under the umbrella of parents and relatives love.
As I said, it’s a cultural shock…..u won’t understand.
