Indian guy living in China visits Chinese Public School for his daughter and explains the basic Chinese education system

Why can't the child stay at home and still go to good school? Don't the parents feel sad to see their only child off at a young age? Is it because both parents are working? In that case, it may be a better idea to send the child to a boarding school than find good after school care.

That's actually what happens in Asia. Take Vietnam for example, we also have boarding schools, although perhaps not as prevalent as in China. Vietnamese students typically begin their morning classes at 7 am and conclude around 11 am. Afternoon classes start at 1 pm and wrap up around 5 pm. Following this, many students opt for one or two after-school classes (usually 2) and often go home around 9 pm. After that, it varies for each individual how much additional self-study they choose to engage in, but generally, bedtime falls around 11 pm. So, in a way, there isn't much difference in the routines of Asian students compared to those attending boarding schools.

There are no boarding schools in India.

Can't believe it, I heard the report on Shenzhen city TV yesterday, there are actually about 100 K Indians working and living in Shenzhen now, China should kick out these Indians back to their slum country, we don't need these many people of an enemy country in China.
You should swap them with more cultural appropriate populations or with people from nation that are fond of your country and do not have disputes with you.

I have friends who studied in boarding school.

Their parents usually live outside Java island, they send their children to Java island (more developed island) to study.

For wealthy family, they send their children to Singapore, because they think Singapore education is better, their children will also learn English and Mandarin too.

Once the children grow up, they will send their children to USA university, Europe, China, etc.

They usually live in dormitory, or rent or buy a house or apartment. Or live with relatives.

Me too actually. Hahaha

My point still remains.
Chinese culture is different from the rest of the world, and for that very reason I don’t blame you.
On the opposite side of the spectrum majority of the parents won’t dump their child (especially if you have just 1).
No amount of infra, toys, facilities is gonna replace the traditional ways of raising a child under the umbrella of parents and relatives love.
As I said, it’s a cultural shock…..u won’t understand.

From what I know, Indian is the same as Chinese.

Both think children education is very important.

Indian and Chinese students are everywhere around the world.

Living aboard far from parents have benefits like better education, learning foreign language, and children mentality grows up faster.

Then why have a child in the first place.
If you yourself cant take care of your own child, who will?
It’s like putting an innocent in jail

Yup, I agree if living in dormitory feel a bit like living in jail. Lol

Experienced by myself.

But dormitory is cheaper and safer.

Usually for rich family, they rent or buy a house or an apartment outside the school.

Boarding school is actually very common around the world.

If I'm not wrong, even British royal families are studying in boarding school too.

And many, many wealthy European family.

In Harry Potter, Hogwarts School of Magic is actually a boarding school too.

But that Indian guy talks like only China has them, thus sets Chinese culture different from other cultures and they experience a "culture shock".

He probably doesn't know or forget.

Indian is like Chinese too, put education above everything else.

Indian send millions of students aboard every year.

Although Chinese parents tend to have less children nowadays, but the culture of being strict with their children's education has never changed.
