I think you are not reading some of Chinese friend here. Hell our Pakistani friends also shout for China.

point 5 agreed but that is job of Indian officials (not politicians ) and they are doing what is needed.

Well as I said before, Gandhi’s philosophy of giving another cheek to someone who slapped you once does not work with all.

@Pingle MLU of INS Mumbai D62. Now she has also received Barak-1 missile.

Some noticeable add-ons:
1. Lynx FCR
2. Terma Scanter SSR
3. 76mm SRGM
4. 4x2 Brahmos on inclined launchers replace 16 Uran surface-surface missiles
5. The another change is Fregat M2EM from MR 755...

Luckily, Delhi class destroyers and all 3 Shivalik class have Barak 1 missiles for short range air defense. The Delhi class has some saving grace with 2 3S-90 launchers, one fore and one aft doubling their rate of fire vs Talwar batch 2.

One more Vishakhapatnam class destroyer and 7 Nilgiri class frigates will enter service with 32 Barak 8 each, enough to move all current non MF-STAR ships out of carrier escort duties. Further help arrives with 4 Talwar Batch 3 class ships that are reportedly being fitted with Shtil VLS as seen on their sister Admiral Grigorovich class frigates and variants of which are used by Pakistani Type 054AP and Chinese Type 054A frigates. This gives 12 more vessels with up-to-date AD systems.

Why didn't they equip mumbai class with latest Barak versions on vishakhPattnamn class? Brahmos addition is really a great news....

The entire superstructure will have to be replaced to make way for MF-STAR as the Fregat M2EM/ELM-2221 cannot provide firing solution for Barak 8.
Too expensive and not worth it

In last rescue mission also Vishakhapatnam used shows our navy confidence in this beauty.....
