Elang Hitam drone is reported to be prepared for flight test next month or in April.

Some get confused when Indonesian aerospace CEO told the plan inside Marketing Room where small mock up of Elang Hitam drone is put there for marketing purposes. They think the drone get smaller due to Prabowo eficiency policy LOL. That is just a mock up, not real one.

From the engineer conversation, look like the bench mark is US Predator UCAV MALE. The engineer keep comparing Elang Hitam (Black Eagle) MALE UCAV to Predator UCAV.

Wulung development continues to improve endurance and strengthen landing gear so that it can be operated from all types of runways.

On April, Elang Hitam MALE UCAV will, inshaAllah, undergo a flight test in Kertajati, Majalengka Regency, West Java.

Local defense electronic company, LEN Industry, is also part of the MALE UCAV consortium. It is also the parent company of Indonesia defense SOE holding.

In the Test Facility Development Plan for UAV Development at Pustekbang LAPAN (before merging into BRIN), one of them is the BLOS communication test.

In the photo, a side view of the MALE UAV (Elang Hitam) where the nose is planned to have several SOTM (Satcom on the Move) devices such as antennas, modems and routers.

SOTM is a satellite communication service, where the antenna and its supporting devices are installed on a moving vehicle to provide internet and data connectivity. Real-time communication remains stable even when moving or changing places.

March 27, 2025, during the visit of the Minister of Defense, an antenna for satellite communication (BLOS?) was seen at the Ground Control Station (GCS) of the MALE UCAV Elang Hitam.
