China has already made this warning to India last year. There is no doubt that India will feel the wrath of China.

Considering the Sutlej originates from Tibet, and if India carries out its threats, it’s possible for China to build a diversionary canal from the Sutlej (Lake Rakshastal) to the Indus. China’s threats don’t only apply to the east, but on India’s west as well.

A canal, through mountain ranges would be expensive, but if a water crisis starts, Pakistan may have to pay China what it must to ensure water gets through;

A canal/tunnel system from the 15,000 foot high lake rakshastal to the 14000 foot high Senge Khabab maybe more effective than war, and chasten Indian planners for generations to come, especially if China retakes ladakh and control the entire Indus River is between only Pakistan and China.

canal of this length could be as short as 100-120 km, but may require extensive tunnels.

Dude India honored this so called unjustifiable treaty for too long, thr is no other upper and lower riparian treaty like this , ur frnds Chinese, Turkey and Iran are doing much much worst to lower ripirians.

The Satluj river discharge, amounting to ∼59% of annual flow, comes from snow/glacier melt, and the remainder from summer monsoon rainfall (Singh and Jain, 2002).

Second: India is not likely to attack China for such a project, while Pakistan is more likely to do something about what India is doing, should the impact be considered unbearable. For India, during its critical demographic dividend moment to attract investment, being seen as in a water war probably only make it look increasingly like a hostile investment climate, as there are many techniques Pakistan could employ against India during the time between now and 2047; ending in India being locked into growing old before it can grow wealthy.

a small google search can tell you that the water Satluj draws by the time it reaches Indian panjab …. The share of Himachal is almost 85% and Tibet depending on weather is from 5%-15%….
besides that whos gonna fund the useless water project it will cost as much as pakistani GDP
