The ships struck by the U.S. military are Iranian oil tankers linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), not Chinese vessels. As reported by Sky News, these strikes were a direct response to missile attacks launched toward U.S. Navy warships in the region. [1]

I think China is not capable of preventing US attacks on their ships. They will be ready in 2075 from now.



China is now turning to Russia's help for oil every week after losing a lot of oil in the Middle East. The economy and money are their FIRST priorities.

Iran doesn't care about Economy at all and get a lot of valuable experiences during the war.

China doesn't need to prevent anything at the moment.

I would argue that this would likely change though over the next 5-10 years, as USA has cornered the Americas oil market with its actions in Venezuela. I know people keep going on about the grade of oil etc, but any grade in a refinery is better than premium grade crashed at the bottom of an ocean or stuck in a chokepoint.

USA could, in theory, keep scuttling everyone else's oil logistics pathways while securing its own thousands of miles away from any conflict zone. Indeed, others, such as UK and Israel are keen to exploit reserves in the Americas and leave everyone else to argue suicidally over chokepoints.

This measure to hit docked oil tankers if their navy is attacked could well backfire with Iran now hitting docked tankers in GCC states. Ironically their stealth tankers to tanker transfers could be majorly affected.

And Houthis are on the offensive in Yemen - they might very well end up controlling the whole country - a nightmare for the US and an even larger one for the KSA.

Mere fact that Houthis are now casually hurling ballistics at the KSA for the Saudis' violations of their airspace tells us who's afraid of whom.
