Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

declaring war on global trade is not a good solution
Would Yemen agree with you? Yemen beat up NATO and Israeli ships in the Red Sea so much, it disrupted global trade and Yemen hasn't paid too high a cost yet in retaliation from the West for doing that.

The West is weaker than it looks, and every real geopolitical test it faces today shows us that.

So many people seem to be wetting their pants after Trump won.

US has pretty much done its worst and US ME policy is too important to be at the whim of one man like Trump. It is run by the US "Deep State".

It was not Biden that decided not to attack Iran to protect the entity but the US "Deep State" as far too much US interest is at stake here to keep to the whim of one person and those whispering in his ear.

If ME oil is blocked, US/Europe will lift sanctions and buy directly from Russia which can increase production to meet any shortfall.

Also, Norway and the US have a lot of oil and gas. For decades, the US saved its own resources and bought from others to use up their resources. It was a strategic decision.
US cant even keep oil sanctions on Russia AND Venezuela at the same time, because disrupts the global oil market too much- now that US and Russia are on bad terms, US already eased off sanctions on Venezuela, so it can access its oil and oil products. US can barely bully small countries like Venezuela, so can you imagine what little it really does to a beast like Iran that is in a much more strategic region, holds strategic territories, and has been busting sanctions for over 30 years? lmao.

When the US's collapse starts happening i think some on this thread and forum will take sabbaticals.

a
Russia will want to sell it at a hefty price to make up for all the losses imposed on it.
and Russia would take the US's delicious foreign exchange $$$ from selling it oil to go beat up Ukraine and take more of its territory it doesn't need quicker. In today's hydrocarbon reliant world, you cant make Russia broke- know this and know peace.

I am not even going to talk about the others but seriously you mentioned Norway here?!!

North Sea is a mature oil and gas area with diminishing reserves. What little may still be found is not going to make up for production.

Reserves are projected to fall, even with "undiscovered reserves":

Yes- Norway today is being run more and more by its oil trust fund, and less by oil sales/business.

You greatly underestimate how much economic access and success Iran has achieved while being under US sanctions.
unbelievably delusional take

ask any iranian who lives in iran if they agree with you

I was in iran recently and outside of north tehran things are not good at all

even empirically the cost of US sanctions is in the trillions of dollars

I was in Iranian neighborhood, only iranian Beludzistan can match their life conditions, even iranian part is better than other 2...

Joke aside, what is now and what is probably there to stay as crucial difference between Iran and rest of the hood is institutional functionality...so no matter how bad is for heard it, Pakistan in many matters is not true nation state, Pakistan is military fortress packed as eternal nemesis of India, from Britain with love...

Now Iran is secured by plenty multilayered institutions, councils and other instances, as it ever was, they are always somewhat of professional state apparatus...

Also long story, history is based on geography, but it will be ot...However we are thinking about it, Iran is, unlike others, true national state in the neighborhood....with Turkey...

Yellow flag: that’s basic hearsay. You use it quite a bit.

I see quite otherwise. Well to do but nagging incessantly. And that’s my hearsay.

However, what is a fact is Iranian world class entitlement and complaining.

Hmm..ok.

thats the mistake you made- dont ask people for "opinions" on things you can ready and analyze objectively to understand, like economics. people shared their feelings with you, and you took that as facts? well no wonder you're confused about the state of Iran's real economy. They will tell you all the things they dont like or dont think they like or have, while leaving out all the good and things they take for granted that people in other countries dont have (like cheap cheap gas).
I was in iran recently and outside of north tehran things are not good at all
give me numbers or details, not opinions or perceptions or feelings.
even empirically the cost of US sanctions is in the trillions of dollars
But what would the cost to be Iran nationally, ideologically, religiously, historically etc if it let US have its way and it removed sanctions? More than those trillions of dollars you claim US sanctions caused- Iran as a nation CHOSE not to be a vassal of the US system (and that choice is not cost free)- you can't even put a price on the fact that Iranians still have their full culture and governance system in their country that they want (majority at least).

True Promise 3 needs to deliver actual devastating blows to Israel's defense industries, and help degrade IOF operational capacity. In other words, we need more real-world results that can change the strategic situation surrounding the region and hinting at a major "game-changer".

Some people here think that all that these countries need to do is to turn the tap a bit more and more oil will come out.

Oil fields have infrastructure and oil wells that support a certain capacity say 1 million barrels of oil a day. It may sometimes be possible to extract more without damaging the field but then you would be looking at anything from 3-6 months to many years.

Only KSA is know to have extra capacity that it can put online within weeks.

They have no clue about the basics of oil and gas engineering.

Nope, that is part iv...now iran will do something like previous two, but more quality and quantity...then no one will stop Israel to bomb iranian nuclear facilities...red line and boiling point of iranian "second strike"...Iran could repair the facilities with Russian support...Israel will look like Hiroshima, but less nuclear and more kinetic...
I thought Indians were created by God to torment Pakistanis till the day of judgement.
French propaganda after being kicked out of semi-continent...

I agree with you whenever you talk about US. EU doesn't want to work anymore with Netanyahu. Just Germany keep arming Israel. But even France and Italy have lifted an arms embargo over Israel.

Macron is just doing what France always does: try to act important even though they are completely irrelevant compared to the US. France, and Macron, are incredibly anti-Muslim because of domestic pressure from far-right parties who are catching up to him.

Err, I need a credible report to say 12-14 million barrels can be brought online within 3 months.

That is a projection for 2030 and so is pointless.

Current world oil production is 100 million barrels and it will rise to 114 million barrels in six years. That extra 14 million barrels will just replace what would be lost within days in an all-out ME war.

You made a claim that the lost ME capacity can be replaced quickly so that the world economy does not sink and so back it up with a credible source.

Almost all the oil/gas that passes through SoH goes to Asia. Western oil imports do not go through the SoH. As for Western allies like Japan and South Korea, the West will simply divert the oil they currently sell to China to go to them instead. There may be penalty clauses and wartime exemptions in the contracts, but those are details. Once again, the squeeze will be on China. China's economy is already on edge and the last thing they will appreciate is this 'gift' from Iran.

As for spare capacity, Saudi Arabia alone has spare oil capacity of 5 million bpd which can be ramped up within days. Keep in mind that Saudi Arabia has export terminals on both coasts. The US has strategic reserves but they are for domestic use, not export. However, with those reserves in play, the US will have more freedom to put the brakes on global oil prices since it is the largest exporter of oil. Between Saudi Arabia and the US strategic reserves, we have almost 10 million bpd of extra oil available within days.

So, bottom line, yes there will be global impact but the brunt of it will be on China and non-Western allies. Everybody, including the West, will be impacted by the rise in oil/gas prices but the West will ride it out much easier compared to the rest of the world.

If the intent is to punish the West, then this weapon is pointing the wrong way.

You simply cannot let it go as you want to keep alive a fantasy narrative.

How is KSA going to export a single drop of oil as Iran has made it clear if its oil and gas fields are attacked it will destroy all of the oil and gas fields in Gulf region? Even the Houthis forced KSA to capitulate after targeting their energy facilities and so Iran can do the same and more.

Now you think that somehow that the US will engineer that only China loses. Well China imports only maybe 1/3rd the oil exports of the ME. All US allies will sink immediately into a depression as their economies quickly stall.

Also I have no idea how you think that Russia will so easily forgive western slaughter of hundreds of thousands of Russians in Ukraine and 100s of billions in economic losses. It is not like Russia is even that desperate as its economy is doing better than Europe's.

I have no idea why you are persisting with this. Bizarre.
