One more thing.......how many times have people discussed an eventual war with Israel in this forum (and it's predecessor) in the past 10 yrs? A million times~~! But, we got surprised anyway......how many times have we chatted about bunker busters and Fordow? A million times...yet, they didn't revise or reinforce the structure.
How many times have we conversed about how the wars will play out......the West/Israel's playbook has not changed in 30 yrs. Attack command and control, attack comms, own the sky......it's been the same shit forever.....yet, we obviously didn't take heed and plan well enough.
How many times has Israel attacked our people inside the country? Too many times.....why have they not put together a task force with only ONE mission, to go after Mossad operatives inside? The border should've been the first priority....we have a porous border. We needed to build electronic surveillance of the border....put up fences and walls, cameras, and 24 hours a day drones. The border should be heavily guarded with no go zones, and shoot to kill areas.
Lastly, If we know the playbook of our enemy why haven't we built up an air force? It's only been 10-15 years, how much corruption does it take to understand all of the indigenous fighter program is just that....corruption? We need an air force....get to this last part ASAP....corrupt bastards inside our government are getting our people and soldiers killed.

Because there is no shared vision in IRI. We need a strong leader to set and keep us on a clear direction.

You mean a strong president.....we need presidents, not life long leaders....why even get rid of the shah if go and get another? Besides, it's the 21st century....isn't about time we act like a modern country?
Supreme leader......Velayat-e faqih, Assembly of Experts? Why not branches of government like the rest of the world? We need to run the country like a Big corporation....you have a division and a job to do, you can't do it...or you fail to do it, you're OUT! Bring in the next guy. Meritocracy, it worked for Napoleon, it still works in this century. These things are not new ideas....it's truism, all the other ways have been tested through trial and error.
Anyways, the point is....we got caught on the back foot, because we have leadership that doesn't know the enemy, doesn't know the world and geopolitics of the lands outside of the middle east. If they knew, all those guys would've been in safe houses.
Also, how many scientists have been killed in the past 20 yrs? By now a monkey would have learned to protect high value personnel by a special group of highly trained guards....with a refined planning and modus operandi, to move them around and make their schedule and movements unpredictable.
Here's one more tip....get rid of all Western phones and apps, at least on the government personnel phones and computers. Every piece of hardware and software should be vetted by a specialized branch of the intelligence dept.

The problem is the country is way too divided, and the politics are pretty extreme. They call the US “the Great Satan” but still want to make deals with them. Then when the US doesn’t hold up its end, they act shocked. They need to pick one: either stop making deals with the “devil” or stop calling them that. You can’t have it both ways. That’s the first step.

Second, they need to figure out what they actually want to do about the Palestine issue. If they want to get closer to the US, they have to accept that Israel is part of the deal. It’s like marrying someone with a kid—you can’t just ignore the kid. Plus, you can’t expect good relations with Europe if you don’t have good relations with the US, and you won’t get that without dropping the whole anti-Israel, pro-Palestine stance.

Third, they need to decide how they’re going to handle relationships with the Arab states and Turkey. These countries are mostly pro-US and pro-Israel. You can’t keep fighting the West and expect everything to be normal with them.

And then there’s the Russia–China situation. Russia doesn’t really offer us anything, and India has only been trouble. Maybe it’s time to cut India loose completely and get closer to China, while just staying neutral with Russia since they don’t treat us well anyway.

My point is that all these politicians want to do their own thing, but it doesn’t work that way. They need to realize all these policies are connected and have a big impact on each other. That’s why we need a unified strategy, and only a strong leader can make sure everyone sticks to it and the country actually moves in a clear direction.

You know what saddens me so much?
We built a prototype of a CPU based on SPARC-v8 architecture in 1385 (2006), called Aristo. That's where we were 19 years ago. It was designed by Arash Radman, a PhD student in hardware engineering at the University of Tehran. Nobody supported him and he eventually moved abroad, and was hired at Intel.

We had our own distro of Linux called Parsix in 2003 (22 years ago), released by the Sharif University of Technology. Again, it was not supported by the regime and the project failed.

The Ayatollahs have ruined Iran. A lot of people here do not want to accept it, but Iran has been going backwards since 2013. In the last 12 years, each year has been worse than the previous year. We are now the 3rd country in our region in terms of scholarly publications. We used to be the first in the region, growing at a speed that was 11 times faster than the world's average. We wouldn't have had our entire C&C infiltrated if we had invested in our national capabilities.
