Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Depends on how many interceptors the Israelis had. Another week of 10-15 ballistic missile launches per day would have been disastrous for Israel. The Wall Street Journal just confirmed this. They also confirmed that the penetration rate increased.
10 impacts a day doesn't do much if the missiles have only 500m CEP

Each THAAD interceptor costs $13M. The US has bought ~650 since 2010—and used nearly a quarter during Israel’s 12-day war with Iran. Replenishing them could take over a year and up to $2B. “The worry,” says one expert, “is Iran might do this again—and we can’t afford that.”

Israel’s 12-Day War Revealed Alarming Gap in America’s Missile Stockpile - More than 150 Thaad interceptors were fired by 2 batteries - About 80 SM-3s were launched by warships. Military officials now say replenishing stockpiles is a top priority.

WOW!

sigh

Looks like they didn’t wipe out enough IRGC generals.

Meanwhile they are awfully quiet about US b-2 and tomahawks bombing their nation and them not doing a single thing besides hitting a radar post in Qatar.

If you hammer their cities and refineries? Yes, they do.

Against hardened military targets? Not much.
hitting 2-3 random residential blocks in Tel Aviv per day is not a path to military victory

Israel has many more levers it can pull to inflict civilian pain

I think real purpose behind this story is discouraging those who are already clamoring for a Round 2 with Iran. The Iranian missiles did their job in reestablishing deterrence and hurting Israel, alongwith American defense preparedness.

some truth to it

CIA wants IR to believe missile shield was totally ineffective!
(creating an illusion)

If they don’t, then they would say the Iranians did not want to negotiate. They were. It willing to negotiate. If you look at Russia / Ukraine, the Russians attend the meetings but nothing happens :

The same, with the Nuclear doctrine . We do not want it , that is what is said publicly, but behind the scenes everyone knows Iran is a non-declared nuclear state .
And that is the issue. It MUST be a declared nuclear power. See how NK or Pakistan sanctuarized themselves.........

milliseconds before Iranian MRBM RV impacts at Bezan oil refinery in Haifa (three missiles impacted within a few seconds)

seconds before the impact, an AD battery at the facility fired a large number of interceptors (smoke trails on the right)

Why does that missile still have its second stage attached? The only missiles that do that are old SCUD based ones that don’t have a separating warhead.

Which points to Iran using old missiles (either by choice or forced to due to missile bases being under constant bombardment).

Older missiles being able to bypass THAAD, SM3, and arrow and hit a HVT lile the refinery would be a good thing

They dropped hundreds of tomahawks on Serbia, ordinary subsonic cruise missiles, I am not sure how useful for bunker busting they are...
