I think they have other weaknesses, such as lack of tolerance to free speech (you saw how they treated Amanpour after she interviewed Reza Pahlavi?) and extremely vulgar speech. but this is part of the borderline fascism that has consumed themPahlavi supporters are the only group of diaspora that are so ultra-nationalistic that it borders fascism.
Their only weakness is sucking up to the US and Israel. And that's a case of "my enemy's enemy is my friend". They think Israel and the US are the only countries that will help them get rid of the regime. Whether it's wrong or not is up for debate but if you speak Persian, you will see that Pahlavi supporters are so against separatists that nearly every separatist group wants them dead.
Yes, the IR has also done great things for Iran as well. For example, Iran was doing quite well in higher education from 2006 to 2015. Even now, we aren't doing terrible. Our missile forces are one of the best in the world and that's impressive.Yes, the Shah did many great things for Iran. I don’t like it when people pretend he didn’t. IRI has also done great things for Iran, we must also acknowledge this.
Do I believe Iran would have been more influential had the shah stayed in power? Yes. Do I believe Iran would have a better economy? Also yes. But inequality in wealth was huge. I agree it was due to a record boom in economy but it happened under his watch and people got impatient. And I’ll even buy the argument that he couldn’t accept any political opposition due to Soviet and British interference in Iran. But IRI is using the same excuses. Khomeini came and promised everyone instant rainbows and sunshine. Now Reza, Israel and USA are promising rainbows and sunshines. Learn from past mistakes.
And you claimed I was targeting you with ad-hominem attacks?@Persian Gulf The thread is being invaded by Pahlavi degenerates that agrees with Jews and whites bombing Iranian people for the sake of AngloJew personal interests
i was thinking finding sam and hitting it is the difficult jobNot hard to put 2 and 2 together...
we have to allow room for opposing views@Persian Gulf The thread is being invaded by Pahlavi degenerates that agrees with Jews and whites bombing Iranian people for the sake of AngloJew personal interests
It's all part of a propaganda push across TV/radio/think tanks/politicians and especially internet. I am surprised they would care about a tiny outpost like PDF but oh well. The Pahlavist protests organized in Western cities are part of this same push to provide a fig leaf of justification for Trump's Iran attack.@Persian Gulf The thread is being invaded by Pahlavi degenerates that agrees with Jews and whites bombing Iranian people for the sake of AngloJew personal interests
I had a look through your post history and none of your last 20 posts were edited or deletedI had decided to stop coming to this forum because there are too many trolls legitimizing a barbaric murderous mullah regime many of whom are not even Iranian to begin with. On top of that we are being silenced here. The moderator occasionally edits or deletes posts that he doesnt like.
The guy promotes terrorism and claims there are 20 million Iranian diasporawe have to allow room for opposing views
I have my own red lines: personal insults, extreme vulgar language, supporting terrorism, and promoting war with Iran and supporting killing Iranians
but other than that, we have to let people speak
Yes, they are extremely vulgar and hot-headed to the point that it reminds me of Israelis. It is borderline fascism.I think they have other weaknesses, such as lack of tolerance to free speech (you saw how they treated Amanpour after she interviewed Reza Pahlavi?) and extremely vulgar speech. but this is part of the borderline fascism that has consumed them
I also think a large part of them have a serious psychological issue with islam. they project a lot of hatred onto it and have become distanced from Iran with their somewhat delusional version of history. the Shah was a Muslim named Mohammad, after all. I am not Muslim, and I do not like a theocratic governance model, but these Shahi types have a serious problem with Islam that takes it way too far.
but yes, it is noticeable that certain minority ethnic groups in Iran protest against the Shah and support IRI
report the post and specify which part breaks the forum rules, and someone will look at itThe guy promotes terrorism and claims there are 20 million Iranian diaspora
This is not a simple opposing view
a lot of these younger shah supporters in the diaspora were not around in 1979, so their hatred of Islam comes from somewhere else. they have a very sanitised version of Iranian historyYes, they are extremely vulgar and hot-headed to the point that it reminds me of Israelis. It is borderline fascism.
The majority of Pahlavi supporters hate Islam. That is true. The major reason for that is the weaponization of Islam by the Islamic Republic. As you said, the Shah himself was a Muslim. He even named all of his sons after Imam Reza. Even Reza Pahlavi is not against Islam. The thing is that the Islamic Republic tried to draw a line between Iranian nationalism and Islamic unity at the beginning of the revolution. They used to loathe and insult Iranian history. I'm sure you know where these anti-Islam sentiments come from.
