Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Idk how Iranian military works but I assume there's a commander for each province, no?

They were not prepared for such scenarios which makes sense if you look at bigger picture (nobody imagined a war would break out and in this manner ) , but it's a scenario that should be taken into account prior to war

What happens if they do a landing at Natanz now? Or wherever the uranium is hidden? If these C130s and helicopters are flying uninterrupted for hours over Iran it's not a good sign.

I don't see such a thing happening. But there is some ill - preparation on Iranian side

All these losses for 1 F-15 crew and people here are crying that It made Iran look bad because it didn't turn out like the Hollywood movie they think war is in their head!

This is literally perfect Hollywood material, a pilot stranded in enemy territory for several days trying to evade combined with a CSAR operation that is stuff of legends.

I get you're pissed off but you are starting to sound desperate in finding a win in all this.
2 destroyed c130s a silver lining, anything to cause losses men or material is a win for Iran may not be as big as capturing the terrorist.

If true, however.

I'm not Iranian, why would I be pissed off? I'm American and I'm pissed off that we're being ruled by an incompetent narcassistic man child and a incompetent administration that's incompetent in every single regard, raped the job market, is facilitating a humanitarian catastrophe in the Middle East that will hurt primarily Arabs and Iranians, is causing a hike in oil prices, shipping insurance, and all this cost is being passed onto the American consumer

Get your head out of sand and face reality dude this guy and his administration can go suck a 🍆

Is that all that you understood from my post? Seriously?

They were conducting CSAR ops deep inside our territory in two of our provinces where 99% of our oil comes from. Our troops didn't even get there after 24 hours.

Do you remember how you laughed when I said without an air force, you cannot even transport your troops where you need them? Now keep laughing.
I do agree with the overall premise but...maintaining an air force capable of massive troop movements to counter this kind of CSAR operation would just get shot out of the sky unless you had a huge amount of AD present covering like all of your territory, an air force that could contest peer adversaries and above. But if you have all that you'd never need to counter a CSAR op because the war would be fought far from your borders.

Overall, just leaving it in the hands of whatever local commanders/forces and not trying to mobilize to capture one guy is probably the right call.

Watch the video at bottom ......I was left speechless, this is new one not the old one , just watch

Iran should make a rapid response force specialized for this kind of thing

Iran has many forms of special forces, SWAT, and military police like forces.

Unfortunately, special forces need helicopters and protection to arrive at the site unharmed. This was a site deep in mountains where any forces would be vulnerable from the air to thermal imaging.

U.S. was likely picking off forces using drones, F-22s, and F-35’s any convoys or teams trying to get too close. We already seen video of at least 2 dead plain clothes militiamen or police officers who were likely killed by U.S. forces.

It doesn’t make sense to waste your most specialized spec ops soldiers on a suicide mission for 1 pilot that is propaganda value at most.

Iran is claiming to have downed some type of aircraft during operation:

Looks like reporting of SF C-130 getting stuck and then destroying them was correct. I think we now know why it took so long to confirm from first report of a rescue operation taking place to confirmation... SF were stranded for a bit until choppers were used.

Btw kudos to the C-130 for showing once again it can pretty much land safely on any flat surfaces.

Damn can't believe they actually managed to save him after all this time, that's insane. Pretty disappointing, could've been a nice photo op moment.

Iran needs to flood the local ground forces with man pads, that was a missed opportunity. Next time hopefully.

We're losing ton of aircraft while Israel hasn't lost anything more than some drones.

Incompetent Trump administration replaces experienced generals with Fox News hosts and this is the result

That's embarrassing. Two C130's destroyed ?

Is Trump admin trying to pass this off as a victory ? How many more aircraft are we gonna lose ever since making Fox News host our Defense Secretary?

They had to blow up a stealth helicopter after grabbing Osama Bin Laden...think they felt bad about it.
