Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

How does this refute what I said? The Canal of Suez was not built by the Egyptians. It was first built by the Achaemenids of Persia, and later was revived and widened by the French and the British. So, if anything, the toll should go to Iran, the UK and France.
Why is Egypt taking the toll? They didn't build it. They had nothing to do with its existence.

State that law. What law is it?

You can charge the toll tax at Suez Canal if you (Iran) hold it or whoever holds it.

This is AI generated too.

"The Strait of Hormuz is not owned by a single country but is bordered by Iran to the north and Oman (specifically its Musandam Peninsula enclave) to the south. While it is a critical international waterway governed by maritime law—specifically the right of "transit passage"

CYRUS THE GREAT , must be cursing the day when he saved israelis and allowed them to return to jerusalem, later to reassemble 3000yrs later.😁 this is how ungreatful israelis are repaying Cyrus favors upon his decendents who later converted

You're missing the point, my friend. Egypt didn't build it. So, how is it different from the Strait of Hormuz? God created the Strait of Hormuz and now we are collecting toll there.

I never said Iran "owned" the Strait of Hormuz. State the law that says that Iran cannot control the Strait of Hormuz. Most heavy tankers pass through Iranian territorial waters because the depth of the other part of the strait in its narrowest point is not enough for heavy oil tankers and containers. Iran does not own the strait, but it can certainly administer its own territorial waters.

Even the 12 nautical miles is an arbitrary number stated in the UNCLOS, but Iran has never ratified the UNCLOS and hence, it is not bound to respect it. Hence, we can claim our territorial waters expand to 24 nautical miles. Why not?

The law if the jungle, not sure why people keep pointing to international law when the collective west turned a blind eye to it in their numerous aggressions. Iran should set a precedent its time to fight back against the empire or get gobbled by it.

Indeed, international law no longer means anything when Netanyahu can set the whole region ablaze with zero consequences.

You've literally just proved the point being made by @ShapurII ,me, and others.

"Transit passage" or "innocent passage" as it is usually called is different to "freedom of navigation". See above posts for more clarity.

Agree. But even IF "international law" is selectively applied, Iran has not breached it.

Iran is being unreasonable here. Iran blocked Strait of Hormuz itself for weeks and stopped the tankers of other Gulf nations leaving out of strait unless they paid the toll tax while Iranian tankers keep moving in/out of Strait without any restriction during the period.
Iran and US both are stubborn. The region will have serious consequences If Iran acquires nuclear weapons and/or start charging the toll tax which is against the international law as strait of Hromuz is not man's made.

They caused billions in damages in Iran

Who is going to pay for it?

Either the U.S and it's allies can pay Iran reparations or Iran will need to tax the Hormuz

Either way someone has to pay, you can't expect Iran to pay to fix infrastructure damaged or destroyed by the U.S

The Arabs are suffering because they chose to be American lackeys whilst the U.S supported the Zionists

If you are israel and the US, why on earth would you take Iran seriously?

Whats preventing israel from “mowing the lawn” 6 months from now when they have a chance to kill mojtaba and another 50 senior officials in a single strike?

Why would they take Iran seriously when they can bomb and kill anytime they want and demand a ceasefire that Iran instantly agrees to?

Iran is extremely predictable, timid and absolutely gullible to a shameful degree
Biggest loser as always : the Iranian people.

The Iranian government has completely failed and lost all legitimacy to lead Iran.

Iranians need to ask themselves… do you really want another 40 years of this? I dont.
