I think it is in the best interest of Iran that the transition of power happens smoothly without bloodshed but it seems that the regime and their supporters have completely lost their sanity and have chosen the path of civil war and turning Iran into another Syria instead of going for fundamental reforms and accepting that they have reached an impasse with their current policies.

The 1.5% enrichment leads me to believe this is fake. You need at least 5% enrichment just to create fuel rods for reactors. And you need 20% to create the fuel plates needed for the micro research reactor in Tehran that produces the medical isotopes.

Sure, the 20% could be imported via Russia, but 1.5% is a weird number.

Thank you, my friend. I wanted to share my two cents about the current situation and leave again. As we have seen times and times again, the Islamic Republic and their supporters are immune to good advice and sanity.


I don't know. What do you think it means? Do you expect your enemy not to take advantage of your own stupidity? Didn't Iran try to make the most out of Black Lives Matter or recent protests in the US? The only difference is that the US and Israel have competent intelligence agencies with international reach and the Islamic Republic lacks such capability and has a loud mouth only.

There is no destruction of public buildings in Tehran except for anecdotal cases. Besides, destruction of public property is absolutely normal and very common in protests and riots around the world and does not justify killing thousands of people in 2 days. It was the norm in BLM protests that the Islamic Republic supported as well. It is the norm in basically every French riot in Paris.


Good for them. When the police kill teenagers with brutality, they deserve to be beaten to death.


I don't know how many oppressors were killed, but I hope they were killed in enough numbers to make the regime think twice and correct their path before shit gets out of hand. Otherwise, we will end up like Syria.

Lurs and Arabs in Iran are armed. You probably have noticed how violent protests in Lur-majority cities were. They have been armed since the 1979 revolution because they never gave back their weapons. They even have a tradition of firing shots in their weddings. Kurds are armed too, with organized and trained separatists. So are Baluch people in Zahedan. The next step is that people will receive more arms. Most of them will be ethnic groups in Iran, not your average uptown dude or middle-class guy in Tehran. And then you will get a civil war with the backing of the US and Israel. If this is the path you have chosen, keep doing what you're doing and you will get there in no time.

I agree...without major reforms and a deal we will have a civil war. Perhaps even sooner than we think. They need to wake up and realize they're doomed, and there is no bridge behind them. Reform or die!
