Bad logic on his part. IAF had no staying power once they penetrated Iranian airspace and dropped ordinance they had to leave quickly because of fuel that won't be the case for US. USAF and USN fighters will operate over Iran hunting whatever survives the first or second night of bombing.

At least that is the plan however cht happens in conflict.

Assuming no ME countries baring Israel allow use of their territory, refuelers will operate out of Cyprus and Diego Garcia. That indeed logistically limits how often planes can be refueled. The carriers will likely stay out of SRBM ranges do easily 1000km off again dont make it a feasible around the clock strikes. Iran is a big country you wont get 24-7 aircoverage over Iran.

I highly doubt that an average American cares about some Middle Eastern Muslim country at the opposite end of the world. Iran is an existential threat to Israel and arguably, one may hypothesize that that isn't very different from being a threat to the US mainland. Again, it's a remote possibility. The darker the skin tone is, the easier it would be to 'sell' catastrophic wars to the American public. Greenland and Canada not taken over because they would be defended by the White people. Venezuela just lost dozens defending their President and not tear over them in America.
Same fate awaits Iran IF it comes close to destroying Israel majorly and/or sinks US ships to cause major American casualties.

We need major reforms. Trump is banking on our own strategic mistakes since 2013, and we are still making the same mistakes and nothing is going to change soon until it's over.

i agree with you in major reforms...I think even the insiders know this....they will divorce the country from cleric rule once the old man is dead. I'm sure of it. Did you by chance see the article about the return if Shamkhani? It came out 2 days ago....he's not as smart as he thinks he is either...but its a step up from where we are now...with clerics in the security council, and intelligence, judiciary..etc. They need to be returned to mosques and warned fo shut up and stay out of politics...or be jailed one by one.

People with religious ideology make poor decision makers on the international stage. We need to get rid of the clergy, period.
This isn't the first time that Iran's existence and national interests are threatened by the clergy. We lost one-third of our territories to Russia because the clergy hyped up the Qajars to fight one war after another with the Tsarist Russia.

Folks....here's some truths that cannot be forgotten:
1. Iran is being slowly destroyed...surprise attacks, assassinations, economic strangulation
2. Trump doesn't want a long, bloody, costly war...he likes quick, clean victories.
3. We have to fight back at some point or face some form of a destructive effect such as break-up, civil war and failed state. They have essentially made it easy for us to choose war. We must make this war costly....that's the only way out.
4. The first 12 hours we have to retain the ability to fire BMs, CMs and drones.
5. Iran needs to dispatch foreign office officials to Europe to be able to tell Iran's side of the story after the war breaks out...we need to use the news platforms to prevent only one side of the story getting out.
