The Pakistani PM is doing what is best for Pakistan. That's what every patriotic politician would do.
Our politicians are willing to sacrifice the lives of thousands of Iranians over an issue that has zero relevance to us: Palestine and Israel.

Again. You need to look at it from his lense. He has resisted regime change for decades. Iran is still officially Islamic republic of Iran. The AoR is still alive even though deeply wounded. Iran is still officially a Shia nation. The worlds sole hyperpower had to make a deal with Iran because they couldn’t achieve regime change. Israel with all its backing couldn’t defeat Iran and had to sue for peace.

Isnt the Iran-Iraq war celebrated as a huge victory even though it crippled our economy for a decade and we lost close to 1/2 million people? Gaza is destroyed, millions are displaced, hundreds of thousands are probably dead if you don’t believe the official number. Ask Khamenei and he will genuinely believe that the Gazans won.

There are water shortages and salt storms in some regions. I don’t know how severe it is though, the numbers are probably manipulated.

Reality is, Iran-Iraq war was a disaster because Iran’s leadership made another bonehead decision.

1982, Saddam offered a ceasefire and for borders to go back to pre-invasion. The war could have been done with minimal losses and a resounding Iranian victory. However, Khomeini refused to accept peace and instead wanted Karbala and sent hundreds of thousands to their deaths and destroyed the economy. Only in 1988 with the war in a stalemate and Rafsanjani begging him, did he “drink from poisoned chalice” and accept peace.

6 years of unnecessary war because you had a clergymen leading the military motivated on exporting the revolution and capturing sacred religious sites then doing what was best for his country.

Khamenai became the opposite version of Khomeini when it came to violence and shunned confrontation any chance he could due to the damage his predecessor did to the country.

So no, the Iran-Iraq war was not a huge victory. It was a self inflicted gunshot wound.

I agree that it wasn’t a huge victory. I’m explaining that we don’t define resistance and victory the same way Khamenei does.
 
In the first hour of war, Iran must immediately :

1. Target all USN ships
2. Fire SRBMs at all US bases in the Middle East.
3. Khoramshahr-4 to wipe out strategic sites in Israel in a concentrated salvo with Fattah Hypersonics.
4. Saturate Diego Garcia with 300-500 of those newer 4000km-range drones
5. If China and Russia agree/allows, mine heavily the entrance to Hormuz, splitting Iranian Naval operations into 2 zones east and west of the heavily-mined chokepoint
6. Message Arab nations that if they join the war or target Iranian oil facilities, Iranian missiles will destroy their oil refineries/storage tanks too
7. Send Special Forces to Iraq and other Arab nations to do infiltration attacks on US bases or assets accompanied with short quadcopter drones/drones with wire to prevent jamming like the Ukrainians often use.
8. Ghadir subs goes on happy hunting for any USN underwater subs in the shallow waters of the Persian Gulf.
9. ASBMs and Swarm UUV Drones sinks a USN Aircraft Carrier.
10. Pro-IRI Iranian Civillians(NON-IRGC AND NON-MILITARY) holds massive celebrations in Tehran if carrier sank under full media coverage, to further demoralize the foes and humiliate Trump.
