Iran is heavily bleeding, but they have a strong choice to make.

No one is relying on NATO for Defense or expecting them to be there(outside of the Russian context), if anything Turkey is preparing for a scenario with NATO "allies" attack it, whether in Cyprus or in Thrace or fund separatists against Turkey.
