He carries with him the awesome responsibility of leading the Shias around the world, not just his personal tragedy. His own tragedy can only make him most aware of what Iran is going through right now.

Therefore, he is the best possible choice at this critical time.

It's for show like in 2006. Lebanon as a state has interest in keeping Hezbollah around for negotiations and deterrence purposes. But if iranians keep talking like they own Hezbollah and Lebanon, and don't stay out of it the internal bickering, they will make it worse for Hezbollah.

in June Iran was able to launch large salvos on the first 2 days to deplete interceptors

this time due to massive initial Israeli and US strikes, it was not possible

so Iran is behind schedule on depleting Israeli interceptors. until then it can't strike Israel effectively, despite using its most advanced missiles (Fattah and Khorramshahr)

In my himble opinion, Iran is not "behind schedule" on depleting Israel's interceptors if we remember that this is a long war for Iran. June 2025 was a "short clash" for Iran.
Iran is naturally fighting differently in different war situations (june 2025 war vs current war).

usually in history rapid increase in oil prices accelerates the end of a business cycle and the start of a recession follows

we are already in the late stage of a business cycle. so far the Fed managed to achieve a "soft landing" but that is all toast now.

every day the Strait of Hormuz remains closed, is good for Iran as oil and gas prices will continue to rise. in a few more weeks, UAE's oil storages will be at max capacity and they will have to shut down production too, following Kuwait and Iraq.

not to mention the kinetic attacks against oil and gas facilities, which can make things 10x worse.

it's going to get much worse

usually they say if the national average exceeds $3.50 per gallon, people get angry

it's currently $3.45, and about to rise a lot in the next few days

Keep in mind that US and Israel has also prepared carefully this war and built not only more interceptors, even they're collecting them from Germany where Raytheon are building PAC3 interceptors. We have seen pieces of one of them built by Thales (EU).
