It's such poor logic.
Having a missile force is smart, no one can doubt that after this war, but having a capable defensive air force is also important. It allows their missile launch pads to operate safely under air cover, and allows the to constantly contest air space. The air force doesn't have to meet parity, it just has to be good enough to be a threat.
The Ukraine war is a perfect example where Russia continues to have a superior air force, but because the Ukrainians had a smaller but competently staffed and stocked air force, the Ukrainians were able to keep the Russians at bay long enough to prove to the Europeans that Ukraine was worth aiding and wasn't going to get steamrolled.
