I struggle with this false equivalence that is routinely deployed.

Tehran is trying to assure its very survival. It is not a matter of "ego" for them, rather simple existence as a political entity.

The only true ego deployed here is a glorified day trader who happens to be squatting in Washington DC.

I'd believe more like 2500 lbs or so (1100 +/- kg).

I'm sure there is an unlimited supply of clean radiation free oxygen, water and food for the cave complex crew to shelter in place in their advanced nuclear shielding hazmat suits each costing about 10,000 USD like the RST Demron Suit.

If the US uses nukes again, it may as well forget about nonproliferation. It sets an international precedent and will open a pandoros box where other states could use nukes to end conflicts, Russia case in point. The irony of it as well, trumpy using nukes to stop imaginary Iranian nukes.

Look closer at the photo. And then convince yourself a carrier is capable of a 90 degree turn like that.

Well, the only two facts are that the carrier did a 90 turnaround and a sailor has been killed. Can both facts be linked?.

Maybe something exploded in kitchens but, really, something is wrong when it operates far away from the coast and does this kind of radical maneouvers. CENTCOM shown pictures of USS Lincoln with Super Hornets over the deck carrying 5 external fuel pods!!!!.

Carriers do NOT do 90 degree turns like that. That photo was literally a near-perfect right angle.

If you've ever seen footage of carriers going through evasive maneuvers during acceptance trials, you'll see that they aren't turning 90 degrees like that. They just aren't capable.
