Why they Want us to see?

Fair question right? If you can see them, you can hear them, so can a hostile actor right?

Well first thing is physical reality, you can't hide a jet. It helps public relations - allowing plane spotters to observe - fosters public interest and projects military might. Its relatively low stakes

Then there is "STRATEGIC SIGNAL, Not Noise" = showing the flag as they say is a form of deterrence. Showing the enemy "We're here, we're ready, and we aren't hiding."

The reality is that military operations operates on layers of secrecy principle. They allow public access to certain frequencies and flight paths, because, to be frank, they've already accounted for it.

The vast majority of tracks are "routine" - using unclassified (UHF/VHF) or ACARS.

Reason: Safety - in shared airspace, military pilots must be able to talk to civilian ATCs to avoid collisions.

SINCGARS - when they move into combat operations they switch to frequency hopping systems that are nearly impossible for casual people to intercept.

TLDR;
Most of things we can observe using open source and SDR are "front porch" of military operations. The "inner sanctum"-where the actual secrets are kept, is buried in encrypted digital bursts that sound like static to a normal radio.
