Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Talk Time

BREAKING: Iran’s Foreign Minister Araghchi says what is happening between Iran and the US is an exchange of messages, either directly or through "friends," not "negotiations," per Bloomberg.

Details include:

1. Araghchi says he is receiving messages from US Middle East Envoy Steve Witkoff

2. Message exchanges are happening within a "defined" framework across government and under the supervision of Iran’s national security council

3. Araghchi says Iran has NOT sent a response to the US "15-point" proposal

4. Araghchi says Iran has not made any decisions regarding negotiations but has some remarks and Iran’s conditions are "clear"

Talks appear to be slowly materializing.

Agree they won't pick a fight with Israel. But Israel is not going to leave them alone. It's supporting a separatist Druze movement in the South which is controlling some Syrian territory, through force, as bargaining chip to get Syria to stand down from Golan Heights for any 'peace' deal or normalization.

Lebanese and Hezbollah should be able to defend larger part of Lebanon. That doesn't mean this isn't a difficult time for them. Their supporters some of them are normal civilian people just like in Gaza people cannot withstand such hard conditions.

It's an existential fight and such fights are not fun. What's happening in Iran does not bode well for Hamas and Hezbollah's future. It creates struggles for them.

It's not an easy situation is what I'm trying to get across

Syrias first priority was the SDF/Kurd's, they have been effectively dealt with

Syria will be secured and with Turkish support Syria will head towards retaining all occupied lands by Israel

It's not for nothing Israel has been so vocal against Turkey of late

I reckon this will happen within the next 1-5 years

Hezbollahs biggest problem has been the link to Iran is broken , although I did see on this thread a post stating that Syria has been helpful in supplying Hezbollah in this conflict (I don't know if it's true)

Israels problem is taking territory is easy, but then you have to keep the numbers in hostile territory and the systems Hezbollah uses, especially the Altmas anti tank system is something they can continuously harass Israeli forces with

This conflict with Israel will be brutal and continuous, it will go on and on and on and then Israel will crack

I have not posted much in last two days. Just trying to watch more news/analyses and update my understanding. Some thoughts.
1) The China-Pakistan 5-point declaration is loosely built upon Iran's 6 points minus, of course, the sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz and reparations for war damages. There could be a face saving UNSC Resolution acceptable to all and with China inserting itself as some kind of a 'guarantor'. It is all hypothetical at this point however after the Pakistanis hosted the FM of Egypt, KSA and Turkiye recently and then the Pakistani FM rushed off to Beijing, it was not for some photo-ops. Pakistan is also constantly in touch with Washington and Tehran.
2) Netanyahu's minimal war goals are to set Iran as a nation back. Per Trita Parsi in a video today, '50-60 years' would be enough for Netanyahu to accept a ceasefire.
3) Iran still has the upper hand partly because it has nothing to lose. It can choke the global economy, destroy regional economy, along with the economies of America's allies. So Iran has considerable leverage and they are willing to fight to death to remain a sovereign nation.
4) Netanyahu's real goal is the destruction of Iran as a state while he grabs and consolidates land in Lebanon, Syria, Gaza and the West Bank.
5) How much beatings Israel is taking is unknown. But Israelis have a much higher threshold of pain then the Americans and Israel can also tolerate the pain for much longer.
6) Except for maybe UAE, the Arab nations have resisted falling into Israel's trap of declaring an open war on Iran.
They’re pain threshold is because they have multiple countries and far more interceptors than the other Arab and probably even American forces combined once those run out and cities start getting hit and hit more on a regular basis and troops go home in coffins the tune changes

I’m not very optimistic regarding this clown King … because trump insulted him during his previous tenure as welll while sitting next to him.. but i hope this news is true

Most likely fake. He's not a true leader. Just a kid thrown into power by his family and gives a bit of special needs vibes. He doesn't have a vision for the region.

Sisi also doesn't have a vision besides leave us (Egypt ) alone, we ain't getting involved in anything.

UAE leader doesn't like Islam and basically just trying to push people away from religion.

Ahmed Sharaa has a vision which is creation of Al Shaam state. Which engulfs Palestine, Lebanon, and parts of Jordan. He got into power and realized how irreligious people are and realized how incompetent rest of Arab leaders are which probably is making him depressed and perplexed on how to fix this situation. But he's a strong and natural leader. Best Arab leader there is.

Hamas is a movement and doesn't focus on a single leader like that. Hamas follows more Ikhwan/movement way. So it doesn't have some kind of popilist leader with a vision for the region. And doesn't seek to present a gifted leader to the Arab world, instead trying to mobilize entire common masses.

Nasrallah somewhat had a vision for the region. And tried to play a balancing act which is difficult to do for any leader.

I think the wild card are Arab traditional tribes. They're very quiet because they got threatened by monarchs of Morocco, Jordan, Arabian Peninsula, etc .... But they have strong minded men.

Another wild card is people of Northern Africa (Algeria , Tunisia ).

Arabs are in desperate need of strong leaders. Men that are not afraid of these big responsibilities and have natural leadership qualities.

After that Isfahan attack, how many missiles have Iran fired?
Immediately after this attack, Iran launched the same number of missiles daily at Israel. And in the hours that followed, it launched attacks on several countries. Reports indicate that some munitions were lost in that attack.

It’ doesn’t bode well for Syria to be fair when Arab countries are basically openly doing bibis bidding of Israel wants to carve out more territory is Syria really nothing he can do either fight back or just watch it happen(again not a dig but I don’t see anyone other than Iran putting up a fight just playing the lip service routine )
True. We were all screaming at Arab masses to get rid of these morons ruling them because the long term damage they would cause would be severe.

Europe is strange. The questions they were throwing at Syrian President in London conference just shows they want middle east to remain colonized and weak.

He had appropriate responses but the idiots ruling Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia aren't helping us improve our position.

I'd say you're spot on. Israel chose a path it cannot back out from. It bit more than it can chew. The consequences may not be immediate but longer term it set itself up in the wrong way and not the good way.

If I understood correctly, he also mentioned the attempted "Israelisation" of American war policy, which is apparently - simply to engage in violence against rivals until they are degraded enough to ensure a brief window of security, before a further engagement becomes necessary. Parsi says this has been Israel's modus operandi for decades now, but USA under Hegseth and Trump has now been considering a similar strategy. I.e. no actual objectives/compromise/statecraft, other than destroy as much of your rival as you can, until you can pause, then build up strength to do it again.

Trita on another channel said more than that. Per him, this American war on Iran has sunk to the immorality of Israeli wars. In the past, Americans would mostly try to not target civilian infra like schools and universities but they now follow the Israeli model from Gaza. And per Trita, in that other video, even Israelis used to make excuses about atrocities when the Gaza war started. [I gave example many pages ago of how Israelis tried to cover up for the Al Shifa hospital bombed early into the Gaza war]
And per Trita, he can't rule out Israelis may even use nukes on Iran.
The whole video is worth watching. Trita is priceless. BTW, he also slaps HARD those stupid Iranian expats who thought a genocidal regime like Israel would bring a positive change to Iran.

At least your starting to see the Arab states “leaders” are just useless with no backbone honestly I actually thought for a split second Saudis were going to be that counterbalance to Israel but it looks like they are falling in line like all the other countries I honestly think Palestine as we may ever know it is gone these Arab states have sold us out for absolutely nothing they’re losing a lot gained absolutely nothing in return other than trump saying hey guys it’s on you after I leave but stay in your countries to keep humiliating you in front of your people

Israel is in conflict with the entire middle east

Arabs made a mistake thinking that they could accept Israel and move forward,
All Israel has done is be a cancer and thrown the middle east into turmoil decade after decade

The big change isn't the middle east hating Israel
It's that the rest of the world has woken up and realized what cancer Israel is and now you can see it across any platform and social media, the hatred towards Israel is massive, absolutely massive

You can see how in this war against Iran, Europe and others have refused to get involved

We need to translate this into a solid movement against Israel

The "anti semitism" victim stories have been coming fast lately and Israel is worried about what's coming
