if the US truly rescued this bastard, then Trump will certainly launch a very bold ground invasion. and by this evidence, Artesh and IRGC have zero preparedness or competence to counter such an invasion, and it will go extremely badly for Iran.

The response from both the Iranian govt and people was quite enthusiastic in trying to capture the F15 crew and the Americans had to try multiple times and fight hard. The Iranians just didn't have the mobility. All this is a preview to how difficult the Iran ground operation is going to be.

I also think Trump was going to launch a ground op regardless. He is too narcissistic and compromised.

Considering that there are 300,000 regular soldiers, this performance of not being able to shoot down the helicopters is very poor. Of all the things, helicopters should not have that amount of freedom… there has been sufficient time to reinforce that area with armed soldiers to make any rescue attempt impossible.

Reports of helicopters have been going on for hours.

This will encourage and embolden the Americans that they can operate that freely, not discourage them.

agreed that’s what I’ve been thinking for the last two days. There’s so many videos circulating of helicopters roaming freely within Iranian territory.
Where are the regular troops? Where are the manpads? I’ve seen citizen shooting with shotguns at the helicopters, but I have not seen any Iranian troops shooting down helicopters besides the initial two helicopters that were hit

it’s a legit videos, but two days old, that’s what we’re talking about here on the thread, that Iranian police and locals are shooting at the helicopters, but the soldiers are nowhere to be found

The same mood made him attack Iran, after kidnapping Maduro. But it turned out very bad for him. If he wants to gamble again, it can turn out bad again.

We should not let our mood turn negative after shooting down 2 jets, damaging helicopter (wounding crew) and another A-10 in 1 single day. We do have to learn from mistakes and improve, war itself is a learning proces.
