Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Nonsense!

Iranians go into everything with eyes wide open.

Pakistan's track record with Iran paves the way for Iran to trust Pakistan. Not your silly "trust me I know better" nonsense.

Bringing Iran and the US to peace is akin to "You can lead a horse to water (or to the well), but you can't make it drink". Pakistan cannot force a solution on any side.

Iran has nobody who can broker talks with the US. The same goes for the US side. All of Gulf is a party to this conflict, EU has been seen to be duplicitous to Iran and the US side does not trust either Russia or China. That leaves few brokers in the field.

US doesn’t need a middle man - it is perfect capable of brokering “peace” by itself.

Iran has laid down the terms extremely clearly.

Iran cannot afford another meek “peace deal”.

Future of Muslims are at steak!!

The sentiment is nice and all, but Pakistan can't guarantee shit against Israeli belligerence.
Only the US can. If the US signs up the ceasefire and subsequent deal, Israel has no choice but to fall in line.

The big challenge is that things are escalating instead of transitioning to a lull.

Arjun, the residents of Stockholm will soon need their Uber Eats delivered. Off you go...

Iran needs to start targeting these more aggressively if it wants to deter Israel. Not easy but also not impossible.

Key Israeli Offshore Energy Infrastructure:
  • Leviathan Field: Operated by Chevron with partners NewMed Energy and Ratio Energies, this field 80 miles off Haifa is the largest, supplying Israel, Egypt, and Jordan.
  • Tamar Field: Located off the northern coast, this field supplies roughly half of Israel's domestic natural gas.
  • Karish Field: Operated by Energean, this reservoir is another significant part of Israel's offshore gas production.
  • Security Context: As of April 2026, the Leviathan platform resumed operations after a month-long shutdown due to military conflict with Iran, highlighting the exposure of these assets to regional conflict.
Onshore Infrastructure:
  • EAPC System: The Europe Asia Pipeline Company (EAPC) operates major oil storage and trans-shipment terminals in Ashkelon and Eilat, serving as a critical hub in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Recent Events (March/April 2026):
  • Shutdowns: Leviathan and Karish were shut down to minimize risks of attack during "Operation Roaring Lion".

I don't understand why Iran is failing to take out real capability in Israel, and whether that is a lack of operational doctrine, strategy, technical limitations or something else. I would logically expect what you have listed to be destroyed entirely from now on, but we won't see that.

Is this a product of the mosaic system with no central oversight on strategy? Or too many "tired old men who should have retired 15-20 years ago making decisions??" and not knowing how to wage a war of deterrence ?? Israel is not deterred because Iran has failed to impose a real long lasting cost on it.

It is confusing amongst many things.

PMU hasn't done much either. They damaged a Black Hawk helicopter and a radar but that's about it, I guess.

Make my future "medium-well" please! :)

Every conflict needs a broker. If Pakistan can help, nothing wrong with it.

Do understand, each side comes up with its maximalist demands. Those have to be talked through and mediated. All wars end up on a negotiating table.

And some people here talk about ceasefire.

Yep!

Israel wants regime change and chaos.

Everything else is a huge loss given how much Israel has spent on this misadventure.

It never ceases to amaze me brother in how bewildered and amazed the current administration in America seems to be over their current Iran disastrous 5 week war unlikely to end soon, a 12 year old could have predicted the outcomes of attacking Iran. It was common knowledge if you attack Iran they will deploy its geographically as a weapon to pick and choose targets in GCC and close the Straits to its enemies. Geography is a destiny Pakistanis need to learn from Iranians . Yet , here we are 🤥🤪🤣

The reasons are very fundamentally very deep and nuanced. They are mainly seeped in white european superiority over Brown/Olive-skinned Muslim peoples.

Since 2001, the americans/nato and the zionists have been destroying arab nations with unopposed ease and ruthless efficiency. ALL these nations are Brown/Olive-skinned Muslim nations. So when trump attacked Iran, he believed they would also be defeated easily as Iran is another Brown/Olive-skinned Muslim nation. He NEVER in his worst nightmare believed that a Brown/Olive-skinned Muslim nation would be able to fight back against the white european americans and israelis. These goreh have been taken aback and don't know what to do. trump is uneducated and does not know anything about Iranian/Persian culture, heritage and civilisation that is many thousands of years old. To him and most other white europeans, ALL Brown/Olive-skinned Muslim people are the same and should be treated as such. They CANNOT tell the difference between a Pakistani, afghan, Iranian, Arab or Turk. The white europeans believe we are all the same.

In what way is Iran’s position “maximalist”

It’s been severely watered down by the “reformists”.
