Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Israel was informed late about the U.S.–Iran ceasefire deal and was not happy about the limited consultation.

Trump called Netanyahu shortly before the announcement, and Israel agreed to join, but objected to including Lebanon in the deal.

Israel says the ceasefire applies to Iran only and continues strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

I fail to understand why some Iranians are dissatisfied upon hearing the news of the ceasefire under the Islamabad Accords. Perhaps they are unable to set aside their arrogance and acknowledge Pakistan’s wisdom and capability to achieve such an outcome. Alternatively, they may simply disregard the interests of the Iranian people. Or, they might be Pahlavists who cannot recognize the wisdom of Iran’s current leadership. In my view, Iranians ought to take pride in their country and also show gratitude to Pakistan. At least on this forum.

Irony is that, only those Iranian friends should complain on ceasefire who are actually inside Iran and will remain in Iran forever. Iranians living in western countries seriously cannot complain on ceasefire and ask Iranians back home to keep getting killed and keep absorbing the massive bombardment.

Honestly, IRGC has pulled a great feat and most unbais commentary already saying that they got strategic victory. This is the best what Iran could have hoped for. You cannot really expect United States to completely lay down in front of you.

and Yes the ego & arrogance is a negative personality trait with our Iranian friends and I always feared that will go further high after this war.

China would be a great benefactor, but if it wants to hold on, then it should drop the fear of using force or starting a war; otherwise, it won't be beneficial for China in the long run.
yeah.. china has to show its willingness to fight or take a stand.
Anyway, China-Pak media center has opened in Islamabad.

ll major powers that lack nuclear weapons need to go nuclear if they want to remain independent and safe. Pakistan needs to go for more nukes, develop ICBMs and SLBMs, induct SSBNs, and other military equipment that gives it offensive firepower
I heard Inida is making a base in Madagascar. Pak can use this excuse to make long range missiles.

Any positive action to stop war and maintain peace deserves respect and support.

Pakistan has merely tried to provide an opportunity for peace, and the choice lies with the Epstein coalition or Iran.

We Chinese have a saying: If you do not respect the face given, then no one will give it again in the future.

If Pakistan's efforts fail, which other country would be suitable to seek a chance for peace?
Our Iranian and one Jamaican (could be Indian) friends are clearly not happy. It seems they think Pakistan brought the war upon them.

A stark case of shooting the messenger.

Latest News:

1. U.S. Department of State: U.S. Secretary of State Rubio will meet NATO Secretary General Rutte today to discuss actions against Iran and strengthening coordination with NATO allies.

2. According to The New York Times: A White House official stated that Iran's 10-point peace plan released publicly on Wednesday differs from what Trump referred to as a 'viable basis for negotiations.' The White House Press Secretary is expected to clarify this at a briefing at 1 PM local time on Wednesday.

3. On April 8 local time, the UN Secretary-General's spokesperson stated that UN Secretary-General’s Personal Envoy for Middle East Conflict, Jean Arnault, has arrived in Iran. Under the direction of UN Secretary-General Guterres, he will visit multiple countries in the region to support all efforts aimed at achieving a comprehensive and lasting resolution to the conflict. Arnault expressed appreciation for the temporary U.S.-Iran ceasefire agreement facilitated by Pakistan and other related countries. During the visit, Arnault will engage with Iranian officials to hear their views on future directions and reiterate Guterres’ commitment to making every effort to promote a peaceful resolution.

4. Sources: Due to Israel violating the ceasefire agreement, Iran may engage in a 'full defense' at any time.

5. According to The Wall Street Journal, Iran told mediators that its negotiations with the U.S. in Islamabad depend on the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon and warned that it might change decisions regarding the Strait of Hormuz. If Israel continues to attack Lebanon and Iran, they will continue to strike regional countries (including Israel).

6. U.S. President Trump said in an interview on the 8th that the two-week U.S.-Iran ceasefire does not include Lebanon and Hezbollah.

Peace is fragile. Pakistan has worked hard to secure an opportunity for peace, but the Epstein Coalition chose not to pursue peace.

Shahbaz Sharif didn't name UAE when he was thanking countries who helped in mediation. I'm loving this silent treatment from both sides. The return of loan and leaving UAE out of mediation process.
I heard he did thank in the live meeting with cabinet along with 100 other people . He did miss bahrain and kuwait

Pakistan handed the US and Iran a nice ladder to climb down with a smile. Don't take it? Then the Persian Gulf is about to host a very messy reality show.

The war continues, Pakistani users here jinxed the ceasefire before the ink even met the paper!

Iran should retaliate against Israel if Lebanon is under threat. Show no weakness. However, it should spare US and even israel interests in the Gulf.

Make this a single point offence by Iran, Houthis, Hizb against israel until attacks on Lebonan stops.

I'm of the opinion that this "ceasefire" is just breathing space for the US and Israel to restock and move assets into the arena then the big show begins in the not-too-distant future. Trump will justify it as "Iran broke the ceasefire". There are numerous air assets being moved east as I write - 12x additional A-10s over the UK earlier and some Navy E-2 Hawkeye's across Spain and Italy (all public knowledge) so join the dots yourselves.

As someone mentioned up-thread, no part of these "Pakistan ceasefire" celebrations solves the Israel problem.

Trump wanted out, so the war won’t start again and Iran will hold the keys to the straits … that’s all we really need to know, Pakistanis gave Trump way out of this own mess making.

I can see Pakistan's phone bill is going to increase while calling and calming down all the parties involved in the next 14 days. I say Pakistan should also claim out-of-pocket expenses.
Itnay bhookay hain kiya? Mindset thoda change karain. Half the battle is self-perception/image.
